Fantastic performance and great start to the new season. Kopzcak, Farnworth and both Chapelhow's were excellent in the middle. Astley was superb in the first half and will be dynamite for us this seas

On paper oldham have good squad but we have said that many times over the years so let's see how they perform on the pitch before expectations get out of hand.

Elijah Taylor is class. Ellis some great touches in attack and excellent goal kicking. A good day and great to see so many youngsters in replica shirts.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Have to agree that the crowd may not have been as big as we all thought when looking along the stand. Definitely a lot more empty seats visible from the highlights. 

Nevertheless a great atmosphere and hope it encourages a few more when Rochdale come to town.

I was amazed at the low penalty count, cosidering the new tackle hight and play the ball directives, i was expecting the ref to blow the pea out of his whistle!

Fax fortunately posted the full game on their youtube. I was the main rugby league analyst at Opta for 6 years before they were bought out a couple of years ago.

Will do a restart count for the rest of the season if I can get a hold of the videos.  I think it was 4 restarts for Fax and 2 for us of the top of my head.  I thought the ref was very good and let the game flow even if the PTB was quite slow.
