Cougars and Hunslet. Sorry to Bearman and Yorks Tim, I think Hunslet will be the end of your fabulous season

Sounds like a very niche channel indeed.

Harsh decisions against Hornets....

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

And the game did not disappoint, everything you want from a Rugby League game, commitment, effort and leave nothing on the field and more importantly non of the histrionics and gamesmanship trying to get opposition players dismissed that is so prevalent in SL games these days, these lads are part timers, big lads running in hard and it will hurt just as much, but they just get up and get on with it.

Great game at Cougar Park. Hornets comeback wasn't quite enough but they certainly didn't leave anything in the tank. Following the other game too - Midlands were up 14-12 but Hunslet scored right at the end to win 18-14.

How refreshing was the comments of both coaches after the game, no playing to the cameras just honest assessments.

Don't understand why these games are not watched and commented on by more posters, but there we go.

Silly play off system….hornets home to hunslet, away to keighley, home to hunslet again and if they win that then back to keighley.

The road to league 1 runs through yorkshire!

Pity that Midlands couldn't quite make it but the club seems to be moving very much in the right direction. Have to back Hunslet now as the father of one of my aunts was vicar there at the outbreak of WW2.

All the industry was in East Leeds skirting the Hunslet area.Real working class community who loved their Rugby League and a pint or two. They even had a greyhound track in Hunslet Parkside  i went there as a nipper with my mum and dad.Bus from Wakefield to Thwaite Gate and then then old fashioned tram to near the dog track or rugby ground. In those days big city team Leeds couldn't match Hunslet.

Harry you should watch more of league 1. Yes there are some blow out scores but overall it’s a good standard and some very good entertaining games. I love it,

Does seem ridiculous that.

'Scored' - we're not so sure but congratulations and good luck to Hunslet anyway.

Sounds like two great games.

I can only comment on the Cougars game where both teams deserve much credit for what I consider a great game of RL in atrocious conditions.

Both teams really did give 100% and I expect there are a lot of sore bodies this morning.

Now looking forward to the final.

I was only following the feeds on BBC Sport so no idea if (as it sounds) it was a controversial try (or not). Midlands have done brilliantly this season....its always a shame when it comes to an end.

Hunslet,as has often been the case lately, struggled at home against a lively Midlands team. Our home games always seem a grind whereas away games are more open in general.

Midlands were the better team for much of the game and can count themselves unlucky to lose to a late, very scrappy try.Having been on the wrong end of a few such games,I know what it feels like.

Good luck to Midlands for the future and their enthusiastic fans.

Now for another game at Rochdale.Who came up with this barmy formula?
