I really do think we need completely neutral specialist international RLIF refs who are NOT affiliated to any league like the NRL or SL.

I do not think the NRL wants international RL, so how can its refs not think the same? Australia losing regularly would tarnish the NRL's reputation.

Ask yourself this - why does the NFL not encourage internationals? They could with the anount of heritage players - of course it would be a distraction to the NFL brand.

SL refs are a pandering joke and frightened of upsetting the Aussies.

I despair....

Doesn't seem to matter who the opposition are, Kikau always seems to make yards in the tackle.

Shows the quality in the NRL that he's played less than 10 first team games in his career. He's been one of the stars of the WC for me.

How would these referees get the experience necessary to control a top-level Rugby match if they didn't work in either of the two full-time professional leagues in the world?

Looks like everybody went watching the cricket today, and have no money left to go to a RL WC semi final involving their home country.

Pathetic.

Agreed, shambolic semi final of a world cup .Scotland union could get a full house against a Mauritania ' b' side

They are penalties. Fiji are rightly trying to slow everything down and create a bit of niggle. That will always run the risk of giving penalties.

The ref has been fine so far.

I always love the notion there is only one team trying to slow the game down.

Regular internationals at any level. Club rugby is irrelevant. As long as they ref fairly and balanced within the rules

As I said, it wouldn't matter anyway.

I agree that we should have neutral refs, but we don't, and it's making no difference at all to the outcome of this game, so why get wound up about it?

It does make a difference.  It's turning this game into a flogging.

In the opening game it turned a tight 6 point margin into an 8 point margin.

Holmes interception kills a promising Fijian position. Too quick.
