If you want to pal was just making a comment all good players in our eyes come up here because no one else wants them and they get good money to dismiss their careers not saying he’s a ###### player just stating the obv wasn’t being funny or out

No one else wanted tickle, other than the super league club he was at who offered him a new contract..... As for the envelope garbage, what a pathetic and frankly disgusting thing yo say. Especially from a fan of a club who only months ago were begging everyone to please help us, were all one big family blah blah....

4 training sessions been having 3 a week for 3 weeks plus now. Sorry I forgot a near 36 year old is world class ask yourself a question pal why is he at town then? Like everyone else who comes up here ??? brown envolopes come to mind one last pay day get In the real world pal it’s harsh but true

36 year old yet a 38 year old was the best prop in the league more to the point you jampots tries to sign him.

Tickle is going part time and coming with his friends to play for a good team.

Now please bore off and put your dummy back in

Why does it always end up a Town Haven c##k fight its embarrassing!!!!! At the end of the day both teams are where they are trying to sign the best team within a given budget albiet a small one, both teams have had great players and some horrendous players in the bucket load over the years, some sign who are going to be superstars and end up being sh*#e others we think "why have we signed him" end up being decent. Both teams have had there fair share of financial problems over the years to so why do we insist on dragging up ######. For the sake of Cumbrian rugby let it go what will be will be. Heres to a great season for all Cumbrian rugby league teams.

The genuinely sad thing is that they've saved Brett for Christmas Day. He's been out of the game for a year or more so although a good signing it's not like Sammut when he was announced at Christmas. It's only because he is ex Town. It shows how they think. If they can get a dig at Town (in their eyes) they will. It's so sad. They were in special measures a few weeks ago and begging on Just Giving. Now they are giving their fans Christmas presents of Seaton lads. CBGthruNthru

Was thinking the same thing, good signing for them but hardly a marque signing, I'll cringe if he's dressed like santa ?

Thought he was on two years marra?

No had this argument with a lot of haven fans it was never confirmed by the press or social media of him signing an extra year and it would have been big news if he did.

Don't get it about Brett. Yes, his last year wasn't his best. But the previous years he was consistently one of our top 3 players year on year. Id have loved to see him back at town. He makes any squad stronger.

To much resentment when a player switches from town to haven or visa versa.

Maybe like our lads who had an option of a second year but he hasn't taken it up.

Where's the resentment, there's just some opinions that he's a gamble as he stepped away from the game a few years ago after a fairly poor season. No one's being bitter or spiteful about it, just having an opinion.

Tbh although it's not for us, if Brett returns to RL then it's good that a good Cumbrian player is back playing the sport again.

Hopefully overtime relationships and bridges can be rebuilt and Brett & Callum may one day wear the Town shirt again.

Why live in the past, Brett has moved on and so have we - Town have in my opinion a better second rower in Gordon Maudling who will break tackles and score tries for fun this coming season.

Far less of a gamble than the one we took on forster and tansey.

No, exactly the same gamble.

Brett was awesome on his day, if he can find that form again Haven have a superb signing. But if he isn't fully committed due to his work situation then who knows? No doubt be will go full tilt in the derbies, but he's got nowt to prove to us whatever the reasons are why he turned his back on us. Good luck to the lad, except when he plays us. UTT!

The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but thats the way to bet!

Makes me laugh all this mind, town players are  _ _ _te according to Haven fans but their board are hell bent on signing them and then all of a sudden they are the Bees knees and great players ? anyways nowt on telly so reading this is brilliant , merry Christmas to all RL fans.

Love that #cbg, very fitting ?

If we have Big Gordon and Barnes in the 2nd row I’d take that over any combination in this league bar none

Definitely ...with Tickle and Olstrum as backup !

Haven fans tend to gather on here when they get a whiff of something ,they are like flys round the proverbial pile of .

Let's remember these are the people who were dishing out season tickets last season for this season!

To get back to topic..was this thread not for our 2019 signings?
