OF was thinking more about the last time a 2nd rate side reached the final.

I think you mean an over performing side that reached the final and were somehwhat let down by their bigger/senior names.

If there is a rugby god Fax to win and Saints to wallow in self pity but at least it would mean they can focus on winning the league/GF right??

Why ?

small following right, isn't that the thinking of the RFL? That Catalans brought many thousands both to the 07 final and indeed last years means it can't have been that though, the RFL ignored that more neutrals would have gone due to it being Cats as well.

But they should ask Fax for a bond ahead of the game otherwise it makes a mockery of their decision with respect to Catalans and Toronto, it's typical farcical thinking by the salary thieves!

No it wouldn't, how many tickets have they sold for the semi?

I don’t know, but I’m telling you it would, you’ll have to take my word for it as it’s not going to happen so it’s just my opinion

it reminds me of Billy Thompson talking about a cup tie between Saints and Huddersfield.  He said the bookies were taking bets on whether Huddersfield would turn up.  What's the odds on Fax giving it  a miss?

I hope, for the sake of the Championship 'Fax give them a game.

I'd like to wish Fax all the best for the match. For sure, they are long odds to win it but they are playing for the championship so they get my support.

I rather think Fax will have everyone's support, outside Sintellerns obviously.

And probably a few Gooners in there as well.

I honestly cannot see Halifax winning. Listening to the talk from their camp they are just happy to be here and this is there cup final.

Saints will be out of the traps fast and blow them away in the opening 20.

If they keep the foot on the pedal saints by 86.

I really hope Halifax can give a decent account of themselves. A hammering on TV does nobody any favours

What do you class as a good account of ourselves though? The gulf in class, Saints really should beat us by 70-80. Ive said elsewhere if we can score and keep them under 70 I think we will have done well.

Good account would be keep Saints below 8 tries and nick one themselves.

Ie 44-6.

It depends to some degree how much Saints want to push here. They may be ok to just win clearly.

Lastly I hope the predictions are all wrong and Fax pull off a huge upset!

Knowles and Coote out are big losses. You'd expect we win comfortably but these conditions don't suit us, especially without Coote's composure

That's it , you've no chance

I think that's a very insulting comment aimed at Halifax frankly, will Fax likely be outclassed, will they likely get run ragged, maybe. But to already put into question their endeavour, personally I find that extremely distasteful.

Haven't you got a sense of humour?
