Don't know if you agree with him or not ..

Two lines of chevrons does look very strange though.

I know what you mean.

I was sort of laughing at an "unnecessary" chevron - I guess all chevrons are unnecessary, strictly speaking...

I wouldn't say that - I would say the Chevron is quite a prominant feature of a "proper" RL shirt.

Two chevrons, that is uncessary and looks stupid, 🤣

A timely reminder of just how weird the Salford shirt is.

i really like the salford home shirt!

do not like either of Hudds' ...

Leeds and Hull FC both have better away shirts then home shirts imo....

Wigans bight yellow sponsor reallly takes away from their shirts....

That is a superb web page. No idea why Leeds is top or Wigan 4th, other than they must have a lot of fans voting for them. Wakey’s is classic as always and I like Hull’s too.

It’s good, isn’t it. Seems Leeds are pulling away (more fans?) but it was nip and tuck with Toronto (who got my vote) earlier.

That's exactly the point of it. Sponsors want their branding to stick out, especially on the telly. That's why we get bright yellow boxes on white shirts etc.

It takes away from the look, I'm sure there will be Wigan fans giving it a miss this year because of it.  Less people wearing it - less brand exposure

New workington town away shirt, it's based on the clubs original colours

I know that the chevron is associated with RL teams (quite justifiably) but I’ve been surprised to learn of the number of football teams that had used chevrons too. Much more than I remembered.

This has absolutely nothing to do with Israel Folau and his religious views... please remove this pic.

(Looks good though)

Nice. They should drop a line to Keighley with some tips on designing a red and green kit which doesn't make your eyes bleed

Is this one of those photos where you see different colours depending on your mood?

Apparently the tangerine was played about with in46;47 seasons before blue and white in season 48.but the red and green was worn in the first season. Thanks to on report for the dates.

I still don't get this modern practice of having a "2nd kit" that includes the same shade and colours as the main kit.

Wigan, red/white= red/black

Hull,black/white= black/purple

Salford, red/white= red/black

Castleford, yellow/black= orange/black

Huddersfield claret/gold=purple/red

Catalans, red/yellow= yellow/red

Toronto, black/white=white/black

there's only really Saints and Wire with what would traditionally be a "change kit", the rest all look like they will clash with most other clubs' kits.

strange.

Yes, a lot of football fans now regard chevron designs as classic kits! Why isn't Mike Summerbee (middle row, left) looking at the camera?

York City reverted to a chevron (well, a 'Y'), last seen in the early 1970s, for the 2019-20 season.

Can't understand why the Wigan, Salford and Castleford monstrosities aren't the bottom three. No accounting for taste.

How are Hull KR and Huddersfield the bottom two? Both very similar to their classic designs.

Because a sizeable number of those votes are driven by nothing more then club loyalty, perhaps?

Wakefield must have more fans than I thought. 🙂
