This could quite possibly the worst signing town have made in recent years a lot better players out there

1) haven’t seen him but let’s give him a welcome ,and some positivity and encouragement

2) Gotta trust Chris and the guys behind these things

3) I think we’re sometimes signing guys from a more medium term perspective of development

5) we’re commendably looking at local players and giving them a chance . Some will come off some won’t but it’s the right way

6) maybe most pertinently .... you’ve seen some of the signings we’ve made in recent years ?!

I know who’s opinion I will go with, you may of course be right but let’s at least give the lad a chance to prove himself, one way or another

There's always better players out there regardless of which player any team signs, so pretty pointless comment.

We need players who want to sign for the club who have , desire to succeed , commitment and the attitude to give the pro game a shot , Ryan definitely as those trates.

Maybe these so called better players "out there" don't .

Just because players have a desire to succeed and want to play for town doesn't make them a good signing yes it helps but ability to play at this level has got to be priority surely and this lad is way off Ive watched him a lot and seen nothing that stands out maybe should off went and had a year or 2 in conference 1st

Welcome Ryan and cannot wait to see another Maryport Lad out on that pitch with Stevie.

Chris is our Coach and he has obviously seen something in Ryan while he has been training with us to offer him a Contract and from what I have seen of the Local Lad's he has signed this season none of them will let us down regarding effort and attitude.

Also what better player to have him working with in training that Fui as that Guy has played at the very top level and is still pulling up Trees at 40.

Christ give the lad a chance to pull the blue and white top on first before criticising him, we have had lads in years gone by  that where pulling up trees in the amateur game and world beaters but haven't had the desire and commitment and  thought they could just walk right into a first team place, if this lad wants to better himself and put the hard graft in good luck to him, two of the best that came from nowhere in resent times are Stevie and Cotter if Ryan has the same desire and attitude as these, two that will do for me. UTT

Think every player should be judged on the way they adapt in to the semi pro game, not sure if you can fully make an assumption that just because the player comes in from the local league he hasn't got the poetical to play at a higher level,

I hope Ryan isn't reading this, it won't do much for his confidence ? Let's see what the lad can do and how he can develop under Chris. Best of luck to the lad, welcome on board. ?????

Ryan is more than capable of playing at this level , also seem to remember similar comments being mentioned about Stevie when he signed , look who that turned out.

2018  do you not like Ryan personally . Comments like that  are way out of order.  Full marks to Ryan for giving it ago. Chris isnt stupid and must have seen something  that YOU haven't.   Good luck Ryan  . and if you know 2018 I hope you ram his words down his throat. By the way Fifita  will take some beating  as been the worst signing .
