True, but this might have been one of the games where you stand a chance of getting something out of it. If it were called off (unlikely) you could lose that opportunity. Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.
Happyed Posted August 9, 2021 Posted August 9, 2021 I still don’t understand why Reilly’s try at the death was called back. Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks
ChampagneCharlieReturns Posted August 9, 2021 Posted August 9, 2021 Can only of been a double knock on or the injury, who knows

Gareth Hewer explained to the lads on the field that he'd shouted held. At that point the Swinton player was deemed tackled — he then knocked on. Quote Laws of the Game Losing possession – intentionally – accidentally 8. A tackled player shall not intentionally part with the ball other than by bringing it into play in the prescribed manner. If, after being tackled, he accidentally loses possession, a scrum shall be formed except after the fifth play-the-ball. Stealing” from tackled player 9. Once a tackle has been completed, no player shall take or attempt to take the ball from the tackled player. So that's that then.

It was pretty much lost on contact there’s no way that’s correct.
LittleboroRoughyed Posted August 9, 2021 Posted August 9, 2021 Hewer initially signaled play on as the ball was lost in contact and only blew up when the Swinton player looked seriously hurt which turned out to be cramp. This happened in a Hull game a few weeks back and Saints (?) scored & the try stood.

If so, the question must've been 'Can you name 3 generations of the same family who played professionally for the same club?' OK Yeds fans, have we got any who did that? Oh and they all have to have the same first name too
