I saw this yesterday and its such a pity to get so close to completion then something like this happens. The only good thing is that it is only another £20k that is needed which should be very achievable.

You’d hope the local professional clubs would make a donation to help out?!

You'd hope so. Beaumont has responded to them on Twitter, so hopefully something coming from there at least.

They've just had a short feature on Radio Manchester so hopefully that raises awareness. It worked on me, at least, as I've just bought a brick for 30 quid 👍

Is there a problem with the payment processing being employed?

I have tried to donate, and even added a tip to go towards the costs of the platform (seems unavoidable-LOL),  but can't progress to the next (secondary) screen.

Anyone involved in the project might want to take a look and de-gremlin it?

Just banged in £150. grass roots bricks and mortar facilities is always something ill support & will ultimately build the game

Just stuck a few quid in, I haven’t got a pot to p155 in but it would be tragic if this clubhouse isn’t finished. 220 juniors and two open age teams deserve better.

Just put some money in. Not sure they're going to make the rest of the 20k in the ten days left, hope so as this is real infrastructure expansion of the sport.

If you have a look they are getting steady money in, £300 in the last 24 hours, though not enough to get there at that rate.

£18,132  90%.

Someone very generously committed £5K last night and that's provided a huge boost.

Over £32k now thanks to a £10k contribution today from Sport England. £12K over target now which is great news for the club and very well done to whomever put that funding application in.

There's also a certain Derek Beaumont listed as pledging 2k so well done to him for giving back 👏.

Fantastic, yet so many people on this forum slag him off.

To be fair there has been plenty to slag him off for, all brought on completely himself often through his Twitter account. I think praise when he does something very decent like donating money and criticism when he does something daft like calling the general public brainwashed is fair enough.

This is brilliant, but it seems a strange way for Sport England to distribute funds via a crowdfunding page.
