Dave Scott was born and raised in Scotland (he played in the Championship and for Scotland for a few years after Hull KR signed him from a Scottish community club. He played for Midlands Hurricanes this year I think).

Number 16
I watched only the last twenty minutes and was impressed by what I saw of the French team. Plenty with the potential to make it!

I thought I heard the commentator say it was Dan Walker who just got the 'carton jaune'. I liked M. Casty, the referee's low-key, undemonstrative style. I think he is on the World Cup panel, so I hope he gets some good games,
StandOffHalf
Will Pryce is very raw - but there's a lot of talent there. It was a drab enough game but I was pleased to see all the young guys from both countries. It easily could have blown out when Thewlis crossed. The Knights drifted though and then Lewis was binned. I felt that France B came on quite strong in the last 15 minutes. Their big guys were making plenty of ground. Another try with 10 to go could have made it a nervy end for the youthful visitors. Thanks for the YT live stream!

Well, the game was played in Bordeaux, which is hardly a RL stronghold. So taking an E1 game as warm up with two clubs travelling one or two hundred miles and who average only a few hundred at home, will make it a success? Desert Skipper
Is there a report anywhere on this game? The BBC doesn’t even have the fixture scheduled. The Lad
The more games the Knights get the better, the more players get games in the international set up it will only strengthen the pool of players who are ready to play for England. I would love to see more games against Fiji and PNG as they will prove a real test for the knights.

PNG & Fiji get so few games as it is they shouldn’t be wasting limited International weeks helping England’s B team get some experience, they should be playing full Internationals against the best teams in the World. If a pacific nation was touring up there they should be playing France, Ireland, Wales or Scotland if/when they aren’t playing England. Knights should be playing teams exactly like France B. If the Knights want to tour again fair play trying to get games against the Island teams but I’d hope those teams would be too busy in proper Internationals & tournaments.
