I think everyone is delighted to have Blain Marwood back on board after the way he has been messed about with in the past , needs to be given a long run in the side , next season there is no pressure on the  Team , so let the young lads have their heads .

I would like to see the club work a bit more closely with the local amateurs this season.

By that, I mean for Town to take a few of the promising local youngsters with the amateur club's blessing obviously, to train in a semi-pro environment for 2-3 nights a week throughout the season and the player to spend Thursday night's training session and matchdays with their own club.

At least that way it gives Town the opportunity to work with and develop youngers players without the added complication of trying to get them game time, as that's where we seem to lose younger players as there's no opportunity to bed them in due to the lack of an A team.

The development players should be given the same training/gym schedule as the rest of the squad, and it would give the coaching staff a more realistic assessment as to whether these players could make the grade as a semi-professional

The amateur club will also get the benefit of their players being subjected to a higher level of training.

If Town manage to get squad numbers built up, then there could be the possibility of playing trial matches once the season ends against other pro clubs

Perry back at town next year from what was said Friday night

He never wanted to leave in the first place so hopefully it’s true.

I’m not prejudiced, I hate everybody equally

Not sure how much game time Brett Carter gets at Barrow, but looked good at centre on Friday night, would be great to see him back at town

Jamie always seems to sign for Haven this time of year 🤣 be very surprised to see Haven lose their Captain to drop down a league

Didn't JD have some issue with one of havens directors? Or is he no longer at the club?

It's the same as has been for donkeys years. Now with town in the lower league players are likely weighing up the contract money + the winning/losing pay they'd likely receive from each club.

The craic at work with the Haven fans is that they have drastically cut the losing pay, meaning some of the players are doing a bit of twining.

The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong, but thats the way to bet!

Is it not players will be on new pay as you play contracts, but as usual at this time of the year all the players will be looking for the best deals available to them, it's the norm

Rumblings are that haven were wanting to cut losing pay. Which for a team that’s not going to be winning many next year isn’t a great incentive for players to sign. Town in a league with some absolute tattie pots will be paying a lot more winning pays out

I’m sure the board will have factored in who we play and the chances of winning ,especially after last year so probably yes they can
