How do you probably Offiah?

Ambushed by Autocorrect or genuinely surreal?

I'm proud of the effort from all the boys.

Davies was fantastic late. Belting and dump tackling.

Not meaning to sound bitter... But at least most of our lads have actually been to the country they're representing.

Would you have said that if Wales had won ? You sound bitter.

I wasn't looking forward to this game, I seriously thought Wales were going to be slaughtered.  How wrong I was, what an absolutely magnificent performance from the boys. Once the Welsh players playing at a junior level feed through to the national team in a few years time Wales will be serious contenders for the original World Cup. Thank you John Kear you've done us proud.

Unbelievable 80 mins from all 17 Welshmen.

Outmatched and outgunned, but they kept turning up, turning away the Kukis, and finding a thread to cling on to in order to stay in the game. If MOTM contender Aekins could have shifted it on quickly, they would have had a kick for the unlikeliest of draws.

One of the bravest collective performances I've seen in a while. They can be immensely proud of their efforts.

Almost a fairytale for the men from the valleys, in a sport that is usually a cruel separator of the wheat from the chaff.

100%

Best game I've seen from Elliot Kear, for one, in years.

Pronounce?

Incorrectly.  If you pronounced it correctly, the "Chariots" thing is straight out the window.

Read D Laughton's autobiography and he intimated the same.

Always believed the Aussies had the correct pronunciation.

Didn't know about Iro pronunciation.

Enjoy this magnificent World Cup👍

Wales lack quality, that's obvious, but togetherness and effort and heart can take you a long way in sport. Long long way to go and I'm sure the Cooks will turn it around, but that's a great start. I hope they can keep going.

Amazing effort and the team spirit was alluded to yesterday when I spoke to a senior staff member of WRL. Da iawn !

Probably wouldn't have said that but definitely would have thought it.

Nothing against the Cook Island players or staff though. They deserved the win in the end.

I think we should be celebrating the smaller nations that actually have homegrown players though.

Another edge of the seat game with a real cruel end for the Welsh.

This world was never meant for one as beautiful as me.

I agree in most cases. However, having spent a lot of time with Cook Islanders over the years, their roots and their love of their islands are very deep. Their families move because they have to move.

But, that was a triumph for turning up and doing the right thing day after day year after year. So so happy for everyone associated with the team, especially that great man Brian Mad Dog Juliffe!!
