What was most amazing is that it took 65 minute for Sene-Lafao to get himself in the bin. Don’t think he had a clean, sporting contact all afternoon.

Did seem a little ironic that the thing he actually walked for was gobbing off at the ref. 😂

If it’s one thing Mark Aston is good at it’s getting his players to get under the skin of the opposition, I don’t like how the Eagles play, never have, but it gets them results, another shock today after Swinton doing Toulouse yesterday with The DR Bulls getting turned over big style at Barrow.

Could and should have jumped on Sheffield’s dirty play from tackle 1 in the 1st half. No surprise it boiled over. Appalling day’s work from the ref and the two blind mice.

Banana skin avoided. Onwards and upwards.

Ironically probably the only time he wasn't third man in the tackle Bussey steamrolled him to score.

There probably should of been more card at the featherstone game today. Sheffield definitely came to do something. Some of it wasn't rugby. But wins a win. JSL is grub! 6 points clear!

Photo on FB after game with Moors and you wouldn't think butter would melt lol.

Since we lost to them in our cup final it seems rather than push on and go on a run, they are falling apart. Sometimes you get freak results but that 2nd half today sounds appalling and you have to wonder who is going to want that job once Dunning leaves. You can't help but think these 2 new signings are not really going to help with the culture problems running through the team.

Other results wise 2nd place in the championship looks wide open now.

Judging by the brief highlights I've seen, it looked like Sammut put on quite a performance.

JSL was like a man possessed, high shots and niggling all afternoon. Never saw that sort of attitude when he was at Featherstone. And Aston played well for Sheffield, but made a ridiculous flop at a completed tackle. Sheffield came really close to winning, but how ironic that a lack of discipline by those two maybe cost them a win.

Why?

They have a reputation for it.

Taking yesterday's match, the penalty count was 7-6.  It looks very much like seven of one and half a dozen of the other.

Do they?

Most of the penalties yesterday were for offside, which I'd hardly describe as "robust play". 3-1 sin binnings probably reflects the style of play better.

I'd say it's more reflective of the officials willfully not seeing several incidents of violence and outright thuggery from Sheffield.

It's not like they aren't known for it, Aston has been coaching it for long enough.

Gutted to hear Bulls have parted ways with their coach but Barrow were on fire yesterday. Hopefully they can replicate that display for the rest of the season.

Wonder if Bradford will come in for our assistant Price and woyld he be tempted

Watched the game back a couple and for me it looked more Barrow playing as good as they could as opposed to Bradford being poor. We constantly forced repeat sets, completed at a very high rate and shifted the ball round very well.

The right edge of Bradford got ripped apart though, the centre looked well out of his depth and conceded 18 crucial points to take the game away from Bradford.

Never nice to see someone sacked. I note when Bradford parted ways with John Kear he went to Widnes and went on a 5 game winning streak early on. Sometimes when a club isn't performing its not always down to coaching.

Referee was a disgrace Sheffield came with an agenda and he was happy to let them get on with it targeting the half backs with or without the ball and only applying the offside rule to one side.

It's so unlike Fev fans to moan about everything.

Having watched the game again, there are at least 7 clear instances of foul play and/or blatant thuggery from The Eagles that the officials somehow didn't see, often while being in an excellent position to do so.

JSL had more than one opportunity to have an enforced rest, can only assume he's got Kompromat on the ref and/or his two blind mice.
