England vs Samoa Series

Your point was fans will only turn out for matches against Australia and NZ. You can't just say a World Cup is different when that statement is shown to be incorrect.

World Cups are different for all different reasons, the promotion, marketing and lead in time are completely different for starters compared to cobbled together fixtures a few months in advance. Let's try that for a test match and see how we get on before making blanket statements.

World Cup was different, but don't go with the RLWC/2021 fantasy crowd figures plucked out of the sky.

I 100% stand by what i said.

You can stand by it but you were wrong, hence moving the goalposts. Now you are doing so again.

I was at the England v France game and the crowd was absolutely 20k+ plus and in the region of what was announced. If you don't believe it then that's on you.

I still remember the 2013 RLWC vs Ireland at Huddersfield. Complete sell out. Shows the potential is there when done right.

World Cup general crowds were  made up Bolton was around 18000 Arsenal 27000.

I was at one WC match way back with 1800 and Tas Bateri sitting next to me stuck an extra 6000 on it to make it 7800.

The RLWC/2021 was a car crash .

Right... So "trust me bro" like I said. It's like Mike Lindell getting owned by a 12 yr old at the DNC.

It wasn't 40k, for sure. You can see it wasn't 2/3s full.

Is the correct answer, but hey hoe let's all live in fantasy land and our wonderful RLWC organisers can all run off to their next gig cycling rugby union snail racing whatever.

Leaving the hard working real rugby league people to clear up their mess

In a word Disgraceful

You’ll do well to find anyone who thought the organisers were wonderful but hay hoe live in your little fantasyland.

Why would Atlantisman want to make up the 27000 figure? What does he have to gain by doing so?

Because he struggles when it comes to figures. 🤷‍♀️

Why would other posters disagree what would they have to gain.

What have other posters who went to these games got to gain by saying he is wrong? I mean you can either believe them, and the organisers, or choose to believe someone that constantly plucks 'facts; out of thin air to back up negative posts.

All I can say is, having attended the match and, more so from watching again a video of it, I don't think that a claim of a 27000 crowd is hugely controversial.

The Emirates apparently has a capacity of 60700, so when I look at the empty red seats in many areas (particularly middle ring), a claim of a little under half capacity doesn't immediately strike me as being that unreasonable.

I'm not saying it's definitely correct, because I don't know - but it's not like he's claiming it was only 3000 or something.

The Emirates crowd has just been used as a distraction anyway and to move the goalposts after he was called out for his original point and claims about heartland crowds.

So, now it’s not far away and all available players have had most of the season to stake their claim who’s in the 17?

For me if all fit

Welsby

Ashton

Farnworth

Wardle

Young

Williams

Smith

Burgess

Clark

Thompson

Nsemba

Nicholson

Radley

Subs

McMeeken

Pearce Paul

Lewis

Minichella

I’ll probably change my mind when others name their team

Nah, this heritage stuff just won’t cut it.

Here we go again, at the end of the day they're still samoan. What's more embarrassing is players that have no affiliation to the country they play for, like Semi Radradra (kangaroos) Maurie Faasavalu (England)... at least the players playing for Samoa have a connection to Samoa

Are they Samoan citizens, or just Aussies and Kiwis pretending they're Samoan?
