Whilst I understand the point the trouble is we just don't play enough. NZ beat Australia last year and practically everyone has forgot about it.

Playing 2/3 games then nothing for 11 months just means come the following year everyone just thinks Australia are the team to beat again and number 1.

I feel like the Kiwis should play a Pacific island team in the middle of the year because most of the Pacific Island players are in Origin.

The only way to make international relevant is to beat the kangaroos every year and make sure they're at the bottom of the table this year. You dominate the kangaroos and Origin credibility goes down with it

If they only play as a post-season afterthought it's easy for the NRL to write it off.

The PI players are in Origin because they took away choice and scrapped mid season internationals. I don't believe those players would choose Origin if there was any decent mid season international option and certainly wouldn't if there were 3 mid season internationals the same weekend.

Hence scrapping mid season internationals to not undermine Origin, so that said players would play Origin after they began choosing to play for Tonga etc al and to try and keep Origin the pinnacle (in some peoples eyes).

Wouldn't of minded this as the jersey for the tests

I'm not a fan at all, just looks a typical cheap training top style offering from Oxen. Maybe it will look better in the flesh.

Yeah, i mean I suppose it is a cheap training top, I think with a bit of polish (sponsors badges, proper England logo etc) it's quite nice imo.

I've got the black one from a previous season, think it was either free or very cheap in the sale, if you are willing to wait everything gets cheaper at some point on eliteprosports website.

I quite like that and I'm tempted to buy it. However, I will wait for confirmation that it will be Australia v England next year. Otherwise I'll probably wait for the GB range instead.

If it is GB Oxen will probably do a retro England range too!

Indeed but I always work on the premise that if I'm prepared to pay it then that's OK. Companies deserve to make money when they do something good/well and I think they've done that. I'll wait for sales when it's something that is "ok" or I'm just getting it because I need a gym tshirt etc.

I've just bought a couple of tickets for Headingley before the trend for dynamic pricing means they double in price 😅
