If you’re like me though, you might replay your own club’s games through the off season when you’re itching for the new season to start.   I’m quite happy with the 12 month deal for that reason.   Having said that, there’s only the first half of last season that I’d watch again as a Warrington fan  😳

Plus I imagine they'll have foreseen this and will have some extra features and maybe longer form pieces that will do just enough to stop people going through the hassle of cancelling. If they had one or two interesting behind the scenes films or historical documentaries about the game in the off season I would just keep it rolling.

Just give Tony Collins a camera crew for a few days and ask him to knock out a few half hour bits, could even just be filmed versions of his podcasts. Maybe Anthony Broxton wants to do something too?

I was born to run a club like this. Number 1, I do not spook easily, and those who think I do, are wasting their time, with their surprise attacks.

If you've paid the £130 for 12m you've got a great deal whether you use it in the three months of the off-season or not.

It's excellent value.

In fairness, there's probably not any of the last nearly 70 seasons you'd want to re-watch right through as a Warrington fan 🙂

Free SuperLeague+ works without a VPN overseas, or at least in the EU, if anyone's interested.

SL+ is only geo-blocked for Australia, I think.

I'm really tempted to get SL+, but at $30 per month or $163 per year it is quite a steep price, particularly given I already pay similar amounts for WatchNRL.

How is everyone getting on with Superleague+ so far?

I signed up feeling really optimistic but, I have to admit, I’m really missing the two featured Sky games. One is generally a Thurs game, which I’d usually always watch, and missing the two ‘best’ fixtures has really highlighted the amount of mismatches this year for me (maybe these have always been there).

The app itself has worked fine and it’s still good value for the amount of games. Wigan v Leigh is interesting this week but I’m probably looking at Sky or Watch NRL for next year, depending on cost.

Not intending this as a SL comp bashing…a couple of teams haven’t performed to their previous levels and London were pretty much hamstrung from the start, so there’s a bit more variation this year…I’m probably just missing the two main games.

I've been very happy with it. What with SL+, my WatchNRL sub and the various other outlets for the game (The Sportsman, the BBC, French and NZ live streams etc.), there's more live RL to watch every week than I can usually manage.

Just paid £20 and joined for a month to watch the season run in.

Got to say, I've found it a really good app. Initially I thought it every game was covered, but can't complain with 4 games per round - although it will mean the odd big clash gets missed.

A decent mix of other RL content, archive games, interviews etc.

Does anybody know if this is going to continue into future seasons?

I guess it depends if it is a financial success or not. I noticed when I downloaded the app it said it had been downloaded '10k' times.

Just so you know, the two exclusive Sky picks are usually available to watch on demand on the app by Monday night. 👌🏼

I've found Superleague+ to work well and think it's great value for the 12 month deal at £130 I got it for. Don't have Sky and being able to watch the game again, after you've been at the game live, is good. I use my phone to cast it onto the tv and had no connection or drop out problems. It does the job for what my Wife and myself watch.

Well, in the EU all six games are covered. The issue I have is uploads are available too late. It is very often not possible to watch Thursday or Friday night games the next day in the morning.

There is also no build up and no break entertainment. SL+ is good but far off the watchnrl offer.

One area where it scores over WatchNRL is that they seem to be using a more efficient codec for those of us without high-speed broadband.

Neither go as far as buffering for me (unless something's seriously amiss at my end), but WatchNRL's picture quality does drop in quality for a few seconds sometimes as the app adapts to my bandwidth, while the SL+ stream has always been fine so far*.

They do have Sky's match build-up etc. for some games, but you get a holding screen for where the Sky ad breaks would be.

*yes, tempting fate again, I know!
