I’m not usually negative but everything about this fixture is just embarrassing.

International RL should be the pinnacle of the sport.

Well, it is only a curtain raiser for a Championship fixture.

Nice to see a collar on a jersey.  Very retro.

This whole situation is a reminder why having the World Cup in France was doomed to failure.

Did anyone watch the women's game? Presumably even fewer in for that one?

Anyway, France take an early lead ...

Can't get Our League/Super League + to either accept a password or have a working reset link so have fired up sportenfrance.com which is working albeit the sound for the commentary sounds like it comes from the 1970s.

Same. Still having problems. Not good.

I am normally very positive however today has left me feeling totally deflated.

Left the hotel 90 mins ago to call the game with Steve M.

Car parking shambles press passes not on the gate reception details not received our match summariser had to pay to get in.

I have a very low tolerance level for incompetence so have gone to a bar to watch Italy v Switzerland with the doggie:)

But do hope it's a good game

Love the French jumpers!

Nice grubber down the short-side from Mourgue, and Yaha gets it down, despite a suggestion of a bobble.

Try given after a lengthy delay and apparent lack of video ref. Side-line kick good as well.

Come on France!

The SportEnFrance picture quality seems good for me. ViaOccitaine was terrible though - like watching a cave painting.

The picture on Sport en France is fine. But the audio is, as said, in French and with a fuzzy echo on the mic.

It does look all round pretty poor - even by our standards - BUT.. from acorns..

We have to persevere with this fixture, and in France. We absolutely have to.

Good start for the French. How often have we been able to say that?!

French kit is a beauty.

I have real empty feeling watching this. I’ve been excited all day to watch this but the crowd, the lack of send, the general delay on everything screams amateur.

Thank the Lord Wales Rugby League have a progressive and professional CEO and Chairman because there’s not a hope with these two leading the way.

You would’ve thought this was France’s chance to prove to the rugby league world exactly what they can organise
