Huh? Are you suggesting England should have travelled in their thousands over for this game?

No, I was responding to the point that this will put people off going to the Samoa tests.

Internationals should be events, not just a game put on and then cross their fingers hoping for fans to turn up.

With all these cameras, does this mean the TO v Fev match will have a video ref? That'll be a first!

Lovely step and offload from Garcia to put Goudemand over, but he drops the ball over the line under pressure from the Smith tackle.

Nice pressure from France. Good desperation from the half-back, but Goudemand will be distraught not to have held onto the ball.

That would have got them right back into the game.

The problem is that we have dropped even lower than internationals being underwhelming, or disappointing, or below potential, to being actively harmful to the sport.

I wouldn't blame anyone seeing this from being put off buying tickets to the Samoa series.

Which is why I don't think we should have them mid-season. If we can't do them properly, don't do them at all. This is a shame because for once it's actually competitive.

At least if the Roses was shambolically organised, it wouldn't reflect directly on the international game.

France putting real pressure on the goal-line with repeated sets. They have got to make it pay though.

Harsh penalty against the French in possession.

The English player was in the ruck and the ball-carrier caused him to fall as the Frenchman was getting up to play the ball.

Messy, but Ithought that should have been play-on. The contact was in the act of regaining feet.

Agree. But whilst this won't exactly whet the appetite for more (though I'm enjoying it compared to, say, the Euros or the T20) I don't believe it should actively be putting off our core support from attending future matches.

Welsby steps back in-field and finds the offload.

Nicholson grounds the ball off the ensuing grubber.

Hard to see it closing up now. France will be rueing that dropped ball that would have closed it right up.

I'm genuinely upset about this. I raced back from Brentwood to watch, struggled for a connection, and am now following it via text. NRL and SCL only for me from now on - both are better than this in their different ways.

I suspect it's only hard core fans watching this unfortunately. Surely hard core fans will be supporting internationals and if not don't complain the international scene is poor.

There is no responsibility to support rubbish things.

I don't understand, I just clicked on https://superleagueplus.co.uk/live/269080 and pressed play.

No login required, decent picture, good camera work. I don't know why so many are struggling.

I just had a quick google for you... Unfortunately I can't seem to find it on sale anywhere, so the answer you are probably looking for is "France" or "nowhere"

You can still buy the 2021 WC shirt on their website though ....

Why not? If this is how we do internationals now, why should I spend a fortune to watch England play in the Autumn?

I was talking about desire (assuming we are actually RL fans) rather than responsibility.

RL fans still have time and financial responsibilities. We are not martyrs. There are better things to do and spend money on.

I could try. I might even consider cutting my commission.

Maybe you're not our core support any more. Which is fine. It's your right and your decision.
