I don't think any of that leads us to the conclusion that staging a Test as pre-match entertainment for Fev is a good idea.

Maybe not. But if there wasn't an International at all, folk would be raging about that.

Awful quality viewing, commentary and so far performance.

Englands right edge has been woeful this first 20 with France targeting Handley and Newman repeatedly getting good success.

Crowd barely 1500.

Thank heavens for the left edge of Johnstone and Wellsby to get some points on the board.

The picture and sound quality is dreadful

Why can we hardly hear any stadium noise? ( In the sense there is no microphone there rather than lack of anyone cheering)

Why is everyone moaning? It's free sport on the TV! You could always switch to the Cricket, or God forbid, the football.

Couldn't agree more, and that England side won't have the Australians quaking in their boots either. So sad to see International RL in this state.

This England side would never play Australia anyway. They would be looking to add back in more senior players (Knowles, McMeeken, Clark, Makinson, Farrell, etc) plus the NRL'ers: Young, Radley, Farnworth, Smithies, Pearce-Paul, Burgess, Bateman, maybe Whitehead and Pryce (if he goes well in the next 18 months).

I'd say maybe six of this team would make the first choice England XVII. (Welsby, Newman, Williams, Smith, Thompson, Lees)

And rightly so.

But this is potentially worse than not having an international at all.

It's certainly an example of complete failure from everyone involved and I've no sympathy for any of them.

If this is the standard you're prepared to accept then you're going to love the future of rugby league in Europe.

Not on the TV, and I can't get it on SuperLeague+. Watching it now on Sport En France.

You are incorrect.

We are staging two test matches as pre-match entertainment for a second tier club match.

This appears to be a joke that people think is true.

The Challenge Cuo final wasn't a curtain raiser for the 1895 cup, neither is Leeds next Super League fixture a curtain raiser for the academy game after it.

Its not on TV, which is part of the problem

Cant understand a word of it, but much prefer the French commentary. Sadly the feed is just as bad as SL+

Offloads, spreading the ball, finding edges is going to expose this France team. Lovely 25 metre pass from Williams to Johnstone who glides past Miloudi.

Picking the pudgily mercurial Miloudi on the wing is madness IMO. Not fast or athletic enough.

England going to score at will if they move the ball around. France have to control ruck and offloads much better than the last ten minutes, or this will get properly ugly.

A bit of a positive - we're quite prominent on the BBC Sport web page for live text coverage.

Cut it how you like.

Triple header is meat raffle budget thinking. Shoving an international, or even two internationals, on a day when the main selling point has been a domestic second tier club game is revealing about priorities and planning.

The deep breathing coming through comms right now  ... Quite disconcerting. How can you get this stuff so badly wrong?

I don't think they'll get many to take up the half season pass if this is the quality of Superleague+, either pictures or commentary.

https://www.sportenfrance.com/ is working fine too.

This is excellent thanks.

Super League + kept returning an error when I tried to log on and the last French link kept crashing. This is working well.

Looking forward to actually seeing the second half.

Penalty against Wilson for over-zealous kick pressure.

France could do with getting one back before HT.

Ah, poor ball security from Sangaré when cutting a line back near the posts.

Ball pops out and that's an easy out for England.

The last 20-25 minutes have been less than impressive, after quite a bright start from France. They need Fages and Mourgue to dictate and slow down the ruck to get back into this.

This is my fourth game of the day - by far the hardest to watch and by, the same distance, the worst presented. Time for some folk to stand aside and allow compentent folk a go.
