Link? Any idea who's buying?

He says a consortium led by Graeme Taylor (a player agent apparently) is looking to invest.

For Christ's sake where does this guy get this info from and why does he keep saying things like this that damage his credibility???

My mistake here was assuming that because he actually named someone there would be something to it - I tend to assume he's got some truth, he's just thick and misunderstands it.

The damage it does to the game though because we have a rumour based info eco system is that a load of people will now have this as a half memory, "Didn't a London deal fall through?" rather like how we now have the zombie "Bedford were buying Cornwall's licence" that is still said by some despite being debunked within a day or two.

I dont think a "christmas event" at Rosslyn Park is any indication about where we will be playing Home games next season (if we make it to the start line)

No but I’m hearing that RP will be the where games are…if there is a Christmas event then why not at PL ?

Mike Eccles is on record as saying its Plough Lane or bust for London Broncos super league aspirations.

However the useage of the dilapidated Rosslyn Park ground, on which they play rent, is another added expense any prospective backer has to factor in on top of whatever is spent on the club.

With the fixtures for the 13 club Championship due on 26th November. We should soon know how London's  season is going to be funded or not as it may be...

Can they go back to Ealing and say it was all a terrible mistake?

If the London Broncos have London Broncos aspirations then maybe showing a bit of humility and playing somewhere suitable might be a good start.

(I haven't been to Rosslyn Park for about 20 years so can't comment on the state of the place but Plough Lane is not right for where the club is in reality and is too expensive).

Have a look on Google Earth - I'd question whether it makes the minimum standards for a Championship ground.

I guess if they can get get the points for IMG then yet another move back to PL… if not then only the magnamity of the Dons Trust will keep them there…

If anyone is going to "step up", then they have about a week or so to do it. £9,257 raised on the crowdfunder thus far and no update from "the club" on anything other than the ability to buy a Fulham style shirt on pre-order with a 50/50 chance of getting it before Christmas and a membership package that is essentially a charity donation until survival is confirmed.

My hope is that the club can survive at least as an amateur set up, but I genuinely fear for The London Broncos, who I see going down the same plug-hole as The London Skolars.

The RFL and member clubs can now pull up the drawbridge and hope (pray) that SKY TV remain interested. It is now nearly 30 years since the game was "revolutionised" in The UK and yet nothing has really changed. Wales, Toronto and now London have been half heartedly "tried" and if it wasn't for individual benefactors, they (and Catalan) wouldn't have lasted 15 minutes.

If the game is ever to work outside the heartlands as a viable pro sport, then huge CENTRALISED investment is needed, a la Melbourne Storm.

In my opinion that is.

The RFL continue to do so by granting a press pass...

Lord knows why after his drunken Rimmer/Moorhouse outburst.

This! It’s not like the M62 teams are all sustainable. They all rely on a benefactor, most of whom are childhood fans or the descendent of a previous owner/director.
