Aussies laughing themselves silly at the thought of being able to run at Newman next year.

They won’t be though will they because Wardle will be back at left centre with Farnworth moving into Newmans position.

It does have to be said though, Newman isn’t top tier international standard with or without the ball

The trolling on this thread is only mildly worse than the engagement/ego-boosts they are getting.

Is that supposed to bother me?

Let the Samoans pick up bans for their NRL seasons.

i meant england players pressing their foot down on samoan throats would lead to more diciplinary  action - keep up lad- keep up

Bateman was lowing his body position? He was being tackled and the 3rd defender came in with a swinging arm trying to deal damage.

Did Bateman make the most of it? Most probably. But did he get hit in the head by the guys bicep? Yes.

Have you got a time lapse in your vision?

I think Newman is doing OK today, I know it is the current fashion to have a dig at him but he is looking dangerous with the ball.

Time lapse? By that do you mean, did I watch the replays they showed at HT?

Sure.

Ball in hand he has looked pretty exciting, a bit too much lateral movement sometimes though.

In defense he has been brushed off a couple times - One almost lead to a Samoan try as he got brushed off and then went chasing after the guy for 20m leading a space on his side for when they came back there.

Loved the chant "you don't know what you're doing" starting by the crowd..

Quickly stopped as they see the replay.

And Samoa score as I am typing that.

What an air swing by Welsby.

There’s a whole season to go before we start picking a team against the Aussies a lot can happen

I believe it was Farnworth's try - Kendall ruled it as a defensive decision on field, so it didn't go to the VR.

Nsemba ran into Talagi before the ball kept going left for Farnworth to break through.

Jeez, yeah. I see what you mean.

I suppose you could say he takes the Samoan's inside shoulder, but the defender is definitely stopped from drifting out.

I'll have a closer look post-game, but what I'll say for now is that it certainly should have been checked.

Borderline forward that. No problem with it being given the benefit of the doubt as forward pass cant be ruled on by VR.

RTS's offload looked dubiously forward to me - and I'm not talking about the bounce!

Meh. I think we're ok.

Halves are not direct and don't demand the ball enough. Too many instances where we mess up the end of a set.

Defensively were poor in structure ay times, not enough intensity. Saying that, we've been good in the collision.

See how we go..

Initially flat/marginally back out of RTS' hand, as far is it looked to me.
