It's ridiculous that my local newsagent doesn't stock Rugby League Express.

The main papers only had 72 words on the Challenge Cup Final.

The RFL are killing the game.

Referees have never been as bad as they are now.

Winter rugby is just getting ridiculous now.

I reckon The Watersheddings was really somewhere near the North Pole.

"I am the avenging angel; I come with wings unfurled, I come with claws extended from halfway round the world. I am the God Almighty, I am the howling wind. I care not for your family; I care not for your kin. I come in search of terror, though terror is my own; I come in search of vengeance for crimes and crimes unknown. I care not for your children, I care not for your wives, I care not for your country, I care not for your lives." - (c) Jim Boyes - "The Avenging Angel"

To compensate, refreshments at Watersheddings were superheated. Bovil was served boiling hot in a plastic cup that was only a micron thickness, if it didn't scald your hand just holding it, it would scorch your mouth if you were brave enough to try and swallow the bubbling liquid. Of course, it would then cool down rapidly in the arctic weather. Soup was served in a polystyrene cup, so you could actually hold it without getting blisters, but it was too hot to drink until it was too cold to drink (about 30 seconds if I remember) and attempting to eat a pie where the contents and gravy seemed to be 500 degrees would be considered certain insanity were it to happen these days. No such things as Health and Safety back then. 😂

why has Doug Laughton signed this Offiah guy to play on the wing? he doesnt look the part at all, far too skinny and no league experience whatsoever, where are all the local youngsters to be given their chance? stop wasting money on these "here today, gone tomorrow" RU converts- it very rarely works out in the modern game

Same old Warrington, paying big bucks to bring over this Aussie Brian Bevan, a journeyman who could hardly get a game at Easts.

  • Haha 1

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

We didn't bring him over. He was referred to Leeds first when he was over here at the end of world war 2 with the Australian navy. They said 'no thanks' we said ' yes please' and the rest as they say is history.
