Hope you got him to choose the wine!

A flesh sack, stuffed with offal, rectum and complete & utter testicles... holding some sausages.

I just bought some black garlic ketchup. I tried it first with some ham and cheese toasted sandwiches, and it was delicious, but have been having several thoughts about how to use it in more creative ways than just as a condiment. Definitely going to use some in a marinade or BBQ sauce, as soon as possible.

We got some as a free gift recently great stuff and we just used it in any of the recipes we use garlic for.

Going to Search for Bio Muscat sec wine and Olive Oil places today all around the P O.

And lunch out somewhere of course!

We're in a gite in a vineyard at the moment handy but dear.

Searched for days in the woods for the wild ginseng but found none....I'm not giving up...I will find some!

I'm going to make me one big giant sarsaparilla of root beer when I am done!  And I'm going to drink it in one giant gulp too!

I have just terminated my Virgin Wines account with extreme prejudice. They used to deliver through an excellent courier company, but that has recently been bought out by DHL and the service levels have plummeted to the point where I can no longer trust them to do something as simple as deliver an order.

I decided this year to give every company I use three strikes, because anyone promising convenience and delivering inconvenience does not deserve my or anybody's time and money; Virgin Wines used their strikes up (and more) over the last three weeks of lies and incompetence.

The courier can make all the difference, we've had a few pretend they tries to deliver.

But keep this place in mind if you're in Britainy

Three strikes, in three weeks, that means a delivery of a box of 12 bottles each strike/week. Do you have a drink problem? 36 bottles in 3 weeks 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷

Four strikes in total, but just with a single order. One delivery attempted on a day I had specified that I would not be there to receive, when they left a completely blank card, plus three phantom deliveries when they didn't even bother trying.

To be fair to them, Virgin Wines have been very apologetic, and the main fault lies with DHL. They have offered to deliver the case, using a different courier.

I have PM'ed the recipe, I can't post it on open share, because of copyright laws, and I don't want the Mandarins to fall foul.

Went to Brasserie Blanc today, a few things:

Set menu quality, value for money good stuff.

There was a 30oz ( yes it was in Imperial!) T-bone steak for £62 which was something I find gobsmacking.

And the Coffee was rubbish.

A mention of scary steak prices from Jay Rayner in this Sunday's Observer: "Gordon Ramsay has reopened the space formerly occupied by Maze Grill in the Marriott hotel on London’s Grosvenor square as a steak house called the Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill. Prices are astonishing. Rib eye costs £13.33 per 100gm as against £8.25 at Hawksmoor and fillet is £22 per 100gm as against £12 at Hawksmoor".

Steak here can be stupidly expensive. Ive been to Wolfgang Puck (michelin star) on a pre theatre set meal deal and the steak was very very average.

I now buy an Aussie 4a wagyu ribeye and bbq him at home.

To be honest, if I'm eating out, I wouldn't choose steak anyway (unless it was a specialist steak place). When I go to a restaurant, it is to eat something I either couldn't make myself, or which would be too much hassle to make unless I really felt like spending a lot of prep/cooking time doing it.

I can cook a steak very well at home and, unless the restaurant has some sort of open-flame wood/charcoal grill, it isn't going to be significantly better and is certainly going to be a lot more expensive.

There's a lot in that about why we go to restaurants and not having to do the pots afterwards is a real winner.

I said the steak was a shock to me but the poorness of the coffee was unforgivable.

Then again the wife says that's partly because we've become coffee snobs but Blanc's coffee was appalling!

And it didn't even come with a speculoos! Just on its own!
