People who get on the quiet coach of the Intercity train then walk up and down the carriage on their phone deserve to be permanently banned from having technology products.

InterCity? Where have you come from, 1990?

Hey! Respect your elders! I was using inter-city trains in the seventies.

Those bloody sandwiches are still repeating on me. ;)

The train is from the 1980s, never mind 1990.

So was I. I remember them with fondness as a trip on an InterCity train always ment traveling to an exotic location or holiday of some kind.

If it was a HST then it dates from the 1970s (first introduced into service in 1975).

This is the age of the train.... whooosh

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Original train stock on the Greater Anglia line, the franchise owners have never had the "incentive" to buy in new ones like other rail lines, the ones we have are still the lean out the window to open ones.  Abellio promised to do so but they take many years to get here apparently.

PIN numbers.

It's PIN, stupid! Its Personal Identification Number, not Personal Identification Number number!!

And whilst I'm in the mood, will someone please stop the Strictly audience from engaging in mindless, infantile clapping in time to the music? Puleeze!

And will someone incapacitate Keith Lemon. Yes I can turn him off, but they now sneak him into adverts before I can get to the remote control.

And Joe Wilkinson! What is he good for? Absolutely nothing...say it again...

And...

...eternal damnation to those who post cat and dog pictures on Facebook!

...fools who think Coronation St is a soap. It's a documentary, idiots!!!

...the National Trust who can't be arsed to do anything in Lincolnshire

...the daft buggers who queue at filling stations until they find a pump on the same side as the filler cap. USE BOTH SIDES, DUMMIES!!!

Pump queueing drives me insane!!!  What is wrong with these people?  And PIN numbers :assassin:..........dont even get me started.  I actually want to cut people.  I love this thread though I feel better already just reading posts about stuff.

In the blink of an eye it could all be taken away.  Be grateful always.

Is there anything worth preserving in Lincolnshire :P

People who queue for pumps on the same side as their filler cap are great as I am more than happy to sail by the fools to the free pump that is on the "wrong side". :)

In my opinion its much easier to fill the car on the "wrong" side anyway.  You can see the pump reading much easier without craning your neck and youre not squished up between the car and the pump.

People who come back from paying for petrol and then take ages to drive off. I was behind one selfish idiot who opened his sandwich and started to eat it, I don't think they even realised that it was a twatish thing to do!

Paying for parking on the road. £1.50 for an hour minimum charge. The high streets are dying and town councils think it is appropriate to auction off the right to gather charges for parking or roads that are already paid for. And if Park and Ride schemes add time and effort to the journey then they too won't work. They have to make the journey more efficient not less.

Technology "experts" on the Radio 2 Jeremy Vine show who think a megabit is a unit of data speed while a megabyte is a unit of size. No... they're both size, you get 8 bits to a byte.

If city centres didn't charge for parking, the office workers etc would pretty quickly fill up the existing spots. Then where do the shoppers park?

I don't like paying for parking any more than you do but it's there for a reason.

There is no public service rationale behind much of the on road parking charges save traffic flow and access demands. No town centre accommodates a particular amount of parking for shoppers on public roads nor do they provide for a particular amount for office workers. They charge for parking because they can.
