Where theres a will .... theres a way!!!! clearly within the York hierarchy there is no will!!!

This has happened to clubs before and they have returned leaner and stronger, lets hope York can rid themselves of the shackles or people that have created this shambles and rise again under stewardship of people who truly care about the game in York!!

Not been keeping up to date with Knights proceedings for a while,

so was a surprise to see the news.

Reading that Club Statement, really does come across

as the owner spitting the dummy out because he couldn't

get his own way.  Despite the shock of it all, in long term

you are better off without him, sure with the passion that is

there you can hopefully come back stronger and actually work

with the Council & the Football Club rather than fight against

them.

Good luck for future hopefully you will be back in a new

form for start of next season if nothing can be sorted

before that.

Thè knights contract with york council says there must be "24 HOURS" between football and rugby fixtures so if ycfc are playing saturday 3pm knights cant play on the night before...but they can play 3pm sunday which is what they intended to do. The council claimed there had to be "A DAY" between fixtures.

The council have not got a leg to stand on in this. They are plain wrong and hopefully their lawyers are telling them as such! If the knights owner does have the will there are lots of ways...

Ditto. All the best from a Swinton fan.

....and from a Dewsbury fan.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

Keep the faith, why not start now by exploring if a fan owned club is feasible like Hornets. Hope something happens for you guys, all the best.

Disgusting state of affairs. Such clubs are the cornerstone of our game and

deserve better than this. The coach, players and loyal staff treated with contempt and disrespect. Why hasn't someone with an ounce of guts, put their head above

the parapet and explain in full and frank detail what has lead to this situation,

or is that to much to expect in this day and age?.

Just a suggestion pal to keep you going Oldham and Swinton don't play in their own towns but they're doing OK this season

Dead right and we, Swinton (Station Road), haven't since 1992, Oldham (Watersheddings) since 1997. Oldham play at Stalybridge and Swinton play at Sale.

know how the york fans feel , we at workington have a struggle on our hands at the moment to keep the ship afloat . clubs like york must not be allowed to die . remember wiggington road with great affection , good crowds and good atmosphere .new ground was o.k. too , but is it a bit too far from the city for traditional fans to travel to ?  (don t know how good local transport is ) . anyway best of luck for the future , hope you turn things around .

Shame non league footy takes priority over potential championship rugby up the knights wasps York forever

The non league football will attract attendances of around 3000. The current League 1 rugby attracts attendances of around 400. That is why non league football takes priority.

Have been watching and listening to supporters and those higher up for a while now, I only have one though about this hole affair, Spoilt little man that can not get what he wants so has chucked his teddy out of his pram , If I carnt get what I want so I will close the door, Good riddence in my opinion bring on the future and let the players finish this season like we started.

Chairman spits dummy out.(Good headline). Hope that any efforts to resurrect the club are successful and someone with a bit of financial oomph can come forward. We really need someone to save the Knights, keep rugby league in York.

Yes, funny old world. There must be a lot of masochists around if recent performances and league positions are anything to go by. Oh, by the way, I think you need to brush up on your maths. You're about a third out with your 400.
