Hopping Mad Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 (edited) Former football player, coach and manager Alan Little, 69. Midfielder Little made more than 400 appearances as a player with Aston Villa, Southend, Barnsley, Doncaster, Torquay, Halifax and Hartlepool, before retiring in 1986. He then moved into coaching at Hartlepool, before joining York as assistant manager to John Bird. He became the club's first team manager in 1993. After he left York, in 1999, managerial spells with Southend and Halifax followed between 1999 and 2002. Little was the brother of Brian Little, a former Premier League manager with Aston Villa (for whom he also played, as a forward) and Leicester. Edited August 8, 2024 by Hopping Mad 1
Bedford Roughyed Posted August 8, 2024 Author Posted August 8, 2024 RIP Lazar Dukic who drowned today in the opening event of the Crossfit Games. A seemingly avoidable tragedy. 1 With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

I saw an article yesterday that referred to someone who died in an "unexpected plane crash." Seriously, if you expected a crash why get on the plane?

CanaBull Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 That's so desperately sad that someone as strong as he was, and with the people around him he had, could still be taken down by this awful disease. Was reading on the same day Patti Yasutake, Nurse Alyssa Ogawa from Star Trek, The Next Generation, passed away from a rare form of cancer, aged 70.
