So they're putting together our pack from 6 years ago ha ha.

I've heard they are really struggling for signings as locals won't sign and travellers are asking for big money.

They have had to pay the final payment of a loan back which has left them with no money for signing on fees until they get their money off the RFL, once thats been paid im sure they will make some better signings than Jamie Thackray!

To plug the gap they have been begging an ex town director to put some  money in.

Thought it was a joke when I heard, all the rubbish they said about fui and penky being over the hill ?

It would be easy to mock this signing but it's about the standard  of signings cumbrian clubs can make to play in the championship. Not enough money or talented locals to allow any of us to stay in that league now. Let us just hope the RFL  restructure the leagues one day soon.

Was great for us. Although it was several years ago. Looks awfully light now. Fui is 40 though and can still cut it?

Fui, Yeah in C1. But Up in the championship against full time side etc its different altogether. No doubt though had it been a quality signing we would have had lots of visitors from down the road today on here.

One reply to his signing on Havens forum,  speaks volumes I have to say

By Mrs Thackray saying what a belting signing , just coming into his prime ?

Maybe his last payday but saying that there's a couple of clubs he hasn't been too ?

Great signing??..........am told he can carry 4 water bottles at once, thats one more than big Chris

Never thought anyone would out carry big Kris, he never let us down when water was needed,

Charlo will be signing Ewan Dowes next, he misses his town days that much

Thacks was immense for us so I’m loathe to talk the lad down but it’s a strange signing by Haven given his form of the last couple of seasons

Forget Chuck and Chad I am the real legend killer

Charlo and Jonty must see something in him to get him on board,  wouldn't be my ideal signing, especially in that division.

no thoughts on the Thackary signing , but think big Kris deserves a bit better , gave the Club !0 years good service ,never complained when dropped/rested  and signed for us when not many locals would come near .

Kris is signing back for haven next year need 7 or 8 props in championsip him and Thackeray will be back up behind Kelly shacks Riley and walker think we'll still need another couple to go with them. 2 more PNG players coming over know one name not sure of the other . And one big amateur signing to be confirmed shortly

Can see Coward and Thackeray as back ups like you say, I know 1 PNG signing, not so sure about the other, and your right about the amateur signing for haven ? few amateur lads were ready to sign for town but after Rooney's U turn I believe they've changed their mind.
