Wakefield have now lost Hampshire and Arundal from it's battered squad, following this weeks disciplinary hearings.

Think Salford will be brave enough to play this one and will feel confident of a win.  That postponement of the original fixture, when the boot was on the other foot, was a master stroke by Salford.

This world was never meant for one as beautiful as me.

Any idea why this has been moved to Warrington?

For those who still refuse to see the obvious truth, this is yet more evidence - as if more evidence is needed - of dirty, cheating Salford's dirty, cheating plan of pure dirty cheating: they've faked a Covid outbreak so they can move their home tie against lovely, innocent Wakefield to a stadium where they have a better win ratio than the AJ Bell.

Trinity with a few kids potentially making their debuts as injuries and suspensions hit the club. No covid 'outbreak' to fall back on so I think Salford will this one.

Will be debuts for Greensmith and O'Donovan but we all remember young Bowes stepping up to the plate last season.  No recognised full back in the squad though?

Think Bowes had a total combined of about 40 minutes of SL rugby in his stepping up last year so he’s very much an inexperienced young lad. vaguely remember it as he wasn’t on long but he wasn’t ready. We will see almost one year on how he’s progressed.

No recognised full back (Missing Jowitt, Hampshire, Walker)

No recognised hooker (Wood and Wood injured)

Missing strike power of TJ.

1,2,3rd choice left centre unavailable (Tupou, Arundel, Croft) giving Greensmith his debut in SL.

Other players missing in Green, Crowther.

I’d say 7 would be in the first team.

That said our line up looks pretty good still and I actually still fancy us against Salford.

Salford name a new half back in 19 (Ata Hingano)

I wouldn't be so certain how Salford will perform

No idea but we would be foolish to underestimate Salford. That said I would be really disappointed with a loss in this one.

Cas putting a young and cobbled team together gave you guys a leg up. Without that win it would still be looking bleak for Salford. You just have to ride your luck.

I was confident if the game had gone on 2 weeks ago we would have romped away with it. However we have since lost numerous players since then and in that regard Lady Luck has really paid out for Salford but looking at the team I’m still fairly confident.

Let’s hope for an entertaining game.

Knowing SRD all too well at least lets us down slowly and rewards us greatly.

TBH I'll be more than happy if SRD compete for the 80, which is all I ever want them to do, and if you do you'll pick up a few points along the way.

Patton out self isolating due to track and trace.

Wakey by 2. We are missing missing backs and hookers but the halfbacks and forwards are full strength and should be enough to sneak it.

I'd like to vote for SRD always but history won't let me.

10 minutes in and a very open game with both teams moving the ball around in very hot conditions.

Kershaw intercepts a Lolehaya pass and races 50 metres upfield, the ball is fed out to Senior who shows his pace to outstrip the Salford cover and go under the posts
