I can't believe 'merry whistle blower' and 'this Wigan outfit' failed to make the cut.

How about the new thread title... 'new league structure'.

"The history of the world is the history of the triumph of the heartless over the mindless." — Sir Humphrey Appleby.

"If someone doesn't value evidence, what evidence are you going to provide to prove that they should value it? If someone doesn't value logic, what logical argument could you provide to show the importance of logic?" — Sam Harris

Phil Gould saying "Stop it" annoys me, as does most of what else he says.

"I'm a traditionalist and I don"t think you'd ever see me coaching an Australian national side!"  Lee Radford, RLW March 2016

"7 Tackle Set"

This is a media phrase.

Should be "Zero Tackle".

The refs usually get it right. At a 20m restart they say something like "Zero coming".

"Fan speak" is how my referee's society used to refer to things like this when teaching me the correct vocab to use on the field.

But we aren't as refs, so nothing wrong with 7 tackle set... there are 7 tackles in it after all 🤣

Was going to say the same thing, it is a 7 tackle set. In fact the first tackle is called a 0 tackle however 0 means none so how can it be a tackle?
