JonM Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 8075 for Cas v Wakey which gets the possible record-breaking round off to a good start. 4 1
Davo5 Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 Looks like getting on for nearly 50k in attendance for tomorrow’s 2 Superleague derbys & hopefully a healthy crowd for the Championship Cumbrian derby at Barrow. 1
RayCee Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 I was reading the YorkshireLive webpage which was very keen to put out attendance figures along with brief game summaries. Then with the Hull KR v Leeds game, it said the attendance was not given. Has it been given since? My blog: https://rugbyl.blogspot.co.nz/ It takes wisdom to know when a discussion has run its course. It takes reasonableness to end that discussion.

Yep, no doubt someone will point out it was their lowest attendance for 30 years or whatever, but given it was a Thursday night game and they were the bottom two teams that’s decent.

Even Odsal looked amazing in those days with 20,000 there If you were a betting man Chris do you think Bulls will ever get back to where they were?

Yes but not for a while, they really need to either sort Odsal out or move out IMO. They will also have to do a lot of work to get the fan base back, the city just doesn’t really care anymore, probably because of how they have been managed off the field for the last 15 years. Such a shame. 1

Such a shame. The off field management is undoubtedly a factor. I have spoken to more than one Bradford fan who doesn't go anymore, not because they are struggling but because they feel cheated and lied to. And that damage is hard to repair.

There must be a reason but I can’t think of one. Surely clubs should be obliged to provide this promptly. I think history says it is - many Aussies who have played in the Wigan v Saints Good Friday games down the years have said its on par with Origin for intensity and importance. If your just talking about crowds then obviously Brisbane is a big city with large stadium and support but you can't argue with a sold out stadium for both games.

The only obligation is to the tax man which they have to do every quarter. Having said that I’m surprised the RFL doesn’t stipulate that they have to report them.

Take Dewsbury and Batley, they are close to each other as East and West Hull i.e next to each other - same for Leeds Bradford Edited April 7, 2023 by Chrispmartha

Other local fixtures are officially just rivalries. Edited April 7, 2023 by sam4731 Gave Derby wrong title
