Attendance thread

The off field management is undoubtedly a factor. I have spoken to more than one Bradford fan who doesn't go anymore, not because they are struggling but because they feel cheated and lied to.

And that damage is hard to repair.

I suspect if they got back in SL it wouldn't take too long to get a decent proportion of those fans back

There must be a reason but I can’t think of one. Surely clubs should be obliged to provide this promptly.

This was debated at length on the mysteriously disappeared old attendance thread. Obviously there was no agreement or conclusion though.

Capacity was reduced for safety purposes. Don't if it was ever announced as a sell out, although it wasn't too far off

There were plenty of empty seats in the corner of the away section. Not that it matters, it must have been banging in there, looked and sounded superb on tv.

Yes it was, on Hull FC social. 17% of capacity does seem excessive for "safety purposes".

No "Derby" was the term applied to sporting fixtures that had there name given to them by Earl of Derby, i.e. Saints vs Wigan and the Epsom Derby. Other local fixtures are officially just rivalries.

Words and language evolve.

This is the dictionary entry

derby noun [C] (SPORTING EVENT)

They showed the full game this morning!

Yes but not for a while, they really need to either sort Odsal out or move out IMO.

They will also have to do a lot of work to get the fan base back, the city just doesn’t really care anymore, probably because of how they have been managed off the field for the last 15 years.

Such a shame.

Or probably clubs such as Wakey and the Bulls are surrounded by a disinterested population.
