There probably needs another role at Warrington. Fitzpatrick seems well suited to the business/publicity side of things - maybe they need a director/head of rugby to oversee the coach and help with recruitment etc

On the surface this would appear to be a mi's-step if true. 

Our previous announcements have been experienced managers, and our first choice was an experienced manager too, so it would appear to be quite a change in approach.

Everyone said Powell was the right choice, experience,the best British coach ,how did that work out. So I am open minded but if Sam is the coach he needs a good team around him.

Is Wire get Burgess it will get them a lot of media attention, here and in Australia, and he may be able to attract some players to the club who otherwise wouldn’t be interested. It’s not a bad idea, and he may turn out to be an excellent head coach too.
