SATURDAY 2nd SEPTEMBER
Newcastle Thunder v Toulouse Olympique KO 15:00

SUNDAY 3rd SEPTEMBER
Bradford Bulls v Featherstone Rovers KO 15:00
Keighley Cougars v Barrow Raiders KO 15:00
Sheffield Eagles v London Broncos KO 15:00
Whitehaven v Halifax Panthers KO 15:00
Widnes Vikings v Batley Bulldogs KO 15:00
York Knights v Swinton Lions KO 15:00

Some interesting games this week.  Tipping Sheffield, as when I tip London's opponents London usually win, so hopefully that trend will continue.

Be interesting to see how close Bradford can get to Fev.

That pitch is perfect for Fev and Fev's forwards are a whole lot better than Bradford's. I don't think it would be a huge surprise if Fev won by some distance. I don't think Bradford are at a level yet where there are capable of beating a side as good as Fev's.

Hope you're right.

Keighley v Barrow is a bit of a crunch game, isn't it? Keighley's point difference of -300 keeping them out of the relegation spot above Swinton on -302. Swinton could even lose heavily this week and end up moving out of the relegation zone... Barrow v Swinton next week, too.

Whitehaven on 16 points with a points difference of -286 for good measure.

Just because you think everyone hates you doesn't mean they don't.

Probably naive to think we may have a  chance. Matched them for 60 minutes at there's then with the last few weeks of sacking Long, Ford berating the ground and then erm recent events Fev seem to love the self-destruct button.

Cue 12-50 to Fev.

On a side note. After 35 years of watching Bradford regular I won hospitality tickets so for the first time I'll be enjoying the experience from there.

Ford berated  Odsal in MAY 2022 while he was with York NOT while at Featherstone but don't let the facts get in the way.

Another 2 young French lads debuted today for TO. Which is another great step for french rugby. I've not heard anything about the match other than the 2 twitter feeds...so if anyone can give a résumé I would appreciate it.

Well game day and putting on the gladrags now. Tindall brought in on DR which probably one of three I agree with all season. I feel he'll start instead of Wynne on the wing (who was poor last week due to match fitness). Feel England may squeeze into the 27 otherwise its as you were. Patton not even in 21 man squad.

You might need 27 to win this one.

Widnes 6 Batley 4 HT. Pretty dour game. Widnes have only really had one attack although Batley have had a few escapes after letting high kicks bounce. Batley probably unlucky to go in behind, they have had long spells with the ball and Widnes have done a lot of defending, struggling to deal with Sam Kibula.

Not gone. Just saw the full time score of 12-4. Widnes in a playoff position now 🤷🏻‍♂️

Full time Bradford 8 Featherstone 16. Thought Fev might get beaten today when I saw the team and with nothing really at stake, with Johnno Ford, Craig Kopczak and Elijah Taylor all rested as well as Luke Briscoe, Josh Hardcastle, Arama Hau and Jack Bussey all out injured, but a solid performance, especially in defence, saw them home and they always looked a bit stronger than Bradford.

That does confirm that Fev have finished top of the league and won the shield, eight points clear with three games left to go, but unfortunately for us it all counts for nought unless we can win those two play-off games!
