What drama! Delighted Channel 4 had that and more people got a chance to see it

I think C4 will be very happy they got that one.

Just jesting Harry, I totally agree,on your game on Friday I thought saints were constantly slowing your ruck, but listen to the redvee podcast and they said Leigh were constantly doing it, fans generally complain when it's done to them and then call their own players for not doing it.

Saints and I think Wigan have the slowest attacking PTBs in the league and yet you think they are doing it to everyone else.

Wigan and Saints spend more time wrestling than any other team.

I hate it. Roll off immediately, and play on. 3rd and 4th man in just to slow down the ptb!

So Saints and Wigan are the worst for wrestling yet consistently have slower PTBs than other teams?

Remarkable really isn’t it. It’s almost as if teams are slowing them down more than the other way round . . . . .

That said - the amount of up the middle rugby saints currently play it’s unsurprising they get slow average PTBs really.

Do you have any stop watch analysis to back up your claim?

Wigan especially are the bloody masters of the dark art! 😂 😂

The thread's not even about Saints (or Wigan) and here they are again moaning that they aren't getting the love off from the TotalRL messageboard they feel they deserve.

Any evidence for this PTB stat by the way?

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

What a mad game. Not often a game is decided by golden try.

Couldn't understand what Singleton was thinking until I saw the replay ofDufty cheap shot on the kidneys.

Was never certain how that game would end

How can that be true when Saints and Wigan have the slowest attacking PTBs in the league.

Do you think coaches know this (and other refs foibles), and do you think good coaches exploit this and coach the players how to play each ref.

If my coach didn't i would want know why.

Refs are human not robots, live with it and stop bloody moaning about it.

No. It's just that laying on is both ugly/tedious and detrimental to the spectacle. Justifying laying on as a fault by the opposing coach is ugly...tedious.

What really gets me is when one team proficient enough/ gets away with laying on yet I'm wanting to be entertained by a game of rugby league. I struggle watching sometimes but not enough to stop me moaning.

Salford have done it before. Beat Catalans in a Challenge Cup quarter final with a try from Dan Sarginson.

Yes, how many pens for accidental offside are when a player deliberately takes the ball? Almost all of them. Most are purely reactionary.

None. Accidental offside is a scrum.

I have absolutely no idea where you've got that from. Dufty is going for the ball carrying arm.

It was an entertaining game although low on quality and has made next weeks game vs Salford a must win. Thewlis being penalised for a knock on when Brierley was holding his leg and Salford scoring not long after was a big moment for me, although Warrington didn't help themselves with all the errors that they made and in the end it was the error in their own half in golden point which had such a big impact on the result.

Folk don't understand that.

Yet it's simple enough.

Yes it’s simple but that doesn’t mean it is fair or reasonable. If a player sees a pass coming to them, it’s instinctive for them to catch it.

In a situation like that where it is pretty much impossible for the defending player to tell if the ball had brushed an opposition players arm, I think it’s harsh to punish a player the same as if he’d deliberately committed a foul. But that’s just me.
