Agree

Not done very much at the last 3 clubs he's been at 🤔

He was good for us at Cougars last season. The main issue was injuries. He got injured in the first 5 mins in our first league game (against Fev) and then missed a load of games, he was apparently going to play in the summer bash but did his hammy in training and then missed another 10 weeks. Played mainly loose forward for us and was good, certainly better than Brad Walker who we paid a load of money to.

Can you say what positions they play?

Will MC pull something out of the bag or are we living off scraps in 2024.

All the years I've waited to get Wakey back in the same league and we won't even compete with them, sorry to say it but it looks like a frustrating season ahead. Wakey will get 70 in that first fixture 🙄

I wouldn’t call the likes of Aekins, Mininkin, Gale, Lacans, Reynolds, Springer, Jones, Addy etc scraps. These are all quality players.  Plus there’s over 4 months until the first match. People need to calm down a bit and see what happens.

I meant moving forwards. We do seem to have a quality starting 13 but who's there to step up if things go wrong when our normal injury curse hits?

I guess we've been spoilt at the start of previous seasons with the announcements of several big names but then again these so called big names have failed us, so maybe it is the right way to go?! 🤔

Us fans have suffered our fair share of disappointment over the past few years, so it'd be nice to hear some good news for a change. I'm just craving an exciting signing and I just don't know if it'll happen this year.

Ford said: “We have meetings every day and we are aware that we have some distance to travel. We came to the player market quite late in terms of switching from one aspiration to another if you like and I think it’s going to be an ongoing process.

" We will continue to ask questions and see where we can improve  our squad.”

I'm not too concerned about the lack of signings at present, we've been here before and it's worked out ok. Plus it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out why the plan has changed, why we're reducing spend and why we're late to market.

What I would like to see however is what the longer term plan is, now the dust has settled on last season. We know we need to improve on the IMG scores, so where are we targeting?

If we sign trout it will be the 3rd time we’ve signed him and he’s been underwhelming all 3 times, he’s massive and if he had any heart could be a dominant forward but instead he’s just a plodder

He was on DR twice R BUT the Rovers signed him on a permanent deal  apparently adding  the power of Kyle Trout to the Blue Wall in Dec 21 and after only making 1 start let him go June 22

If we are bringing Trout in I think that tells us all we need to know about our aspirations for next season. Also I don’t know what average attendances for next season have been built into budget setting but when gates are significantly down the club will then have to begin the process of managing decline.

Just follow the lead of the RFL for that.

I think other Championship clubs will not be happy at losing revenue as our away support will be well down on previous years.

Choosing ours this year ,probably Batley but only the league game,Dewsbury and York.
