Even Harry Smith's landing difficult conversions today!

That was a knock on from the first kick, clear as day here on my phone. There’s no excuse for that sort of error

Apparently this site says I "won the day" here on 23rd Jan, 19th Jan, 9th Jan also 13th December, whatever any of that means. Anyway, 4 times in a few weeks? The forum must be going to the dogs - you people need to seriously up your game. Where's Dutoni when you need him?

Does it have to? Surely only once it makes contact with another player or the ground is it deemed that?

I don't get you, the Wigan player was facing his own line, pulled the ball into himself, then it went backwards of him, but it went "forwards" of his hands.

How can they say all onside when you can see 1/4 of the pitch.

Because French was on the 10 metre line when he kicked, and as the camera panned up, you see Marshall running forward across the same line.

Now, you could argue that he was offside, then ran back, then ran forwards, but that's a bit desperate, and I think the touch judges would have noticed it if he did.

That's what I'm asking, if the same player knocks it back after knocking it forward (and it doesn't touch another player or the ground) is that sufficient? Can it only be knocked forwards and then backwards from the hands?

Someone pull the Harry Smith mask off Frano's head.

It's a knock on if it goes forwards of the hands no matter what it does afterwards as far as I understand it, unless he then catches it obviously.

The assumption seems to be to clear onside if some of the field isn't in shot.

The cross-field kick for King just now had the right side attack out of shot and cleared.

I thought Marshall might well have been offside for his third try.

The on-field officials aren't watching the TV feed. There's a touch judge very close to Marshall as the ball is kicked.
