After he retired, whenever our chairman / coach asked who I'd like to see signed for the Hurricanes, I jokingly said....

I can only assume Mark Dunning has never seen him play before:

The comments about Ben Lam on here sound as though they are based on the assumption that he will play in SL.  Maybe he will get that call-up.  However, the Dracs' website says that he will train with the Dracs, but get game time with St Esteve XIII Catalan in the top flight of French club competition, whose season begins in the autumn.  He has been signed for a trial period, which runs until Christmas.

If he doesn't ultimately get the job after saying he has served a very long apprenticeship do you think he will take umbridge and look for alternative employment?

No, he's already said he's happy to stay around and coach whoever and whatever at the club, he's Giants through and through is Robbo.
