Makes a change from Odslum claiming that title 🤣😂

Looks like Man Utd want to steal the title now, and have the cheek to ask for public money to help build the stadium. What sort of tinpot club etc

Absolutely spot on, as I said earlier, it’s a small but vociferous group of their fans on Siddal’s facebook page whinging about seats and disabled access.

they’re showing their club up with their wining

Asking about disabled access isn't whinging.

No it’s not, and that question has been answered

But continually going on about parking, ground capacity and seating is. I’m not the only Siddal fan who thinks Trinity fans going on, and on about facilities is at best disingenuous.

I'm hoping for a good showing from the Dons. 1 match ban for Pauli but seem to be ok other than that. Hopefully welcome Reece Lyne and Loui McConnell back and give Widnes a good challenge.

Got a few props out; Pauli, Holdstock, Kenga and probably Knowles so we're looking lighter up front

Happen so, but maybe Siddal fans have a bias.

It's going to be muddy. Big snowfall which has now all melted followed by 24 hours of rain.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Of course, just as Trinity’s have, most Trinity fans have been great and very gracious, but as I’ve previously stated, a small but very vociferous minority haven’t covered themselves with glory

It's the same few fans on repeat though mate. ☹️

I'm amongst the many Trinity fans who are rolling up tomorrow to enjoy the occasion. 🥳

There will be more Wakefield fans at Siddal than went to Saints, Wigan and Salford last year when all the missing facilities were available. 😉

The CC rules  re finance have changed but are contained at A3.18. The visiting team seems to get 30% of ticket sales. The home club keeps the rest.

Wakefield would not be allowed to pay Siddal to move the game elsewhere. ( competition rules )

I think though your figures are a bit off.

In Round 1  last year St Pats v Rose Bridge easily accomodated 2500k . It would make sense for this tie to be all ticket limited to  such a crowd.size .

The entry price has to be agreed between the clubs. Wakefield would want it as high as possible but  £5 or £10 per head would not be a steal - £3 was Siddals' entry fee for an NCL match last year.

I agree your bar/ hospitality profit and yes it will be costing their first team circa £8k to travel in the NCL this year.

Siddal have experience and acumen in their ranks. They will certainly be seeking to max this opportunity.....

I think you've misinterpreted A3.18, which seems to me to be about ticket allocation. I think that some provisions have been omitted from the publicly available rules. In particular, the Finance Letter referred to in A3.16 and I note a reference to para A3.29  whereas the rules stop at A3.21 (from memory) in the publicly available rules.

Looking forward to this weekend televised games. In the 1st 2 rounds whoever selects games at the BBC and Sportsman has done a cracking job picking the most competitive and well balanced games - lets hope they have got it spot on again with 2 more crackers

There was coverage of the Barrow - Oldham game on BBC Breakfast. Marred only by including an interview with Sean Long. Fortunately, no one could understand a word he said. Even with that advantage, I doubt he did anything to help increase interest in our sport.

Some fancy work from Barrow, undone by a loose pass.

That team would probably be high-end in terms of cost in the Championship let alone L1.

I’m sure.

Shaping up to be a cracker, this. Great to see the ball being played with the foot too.

Too many penalties for both sides so far.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Sometimes i can get a bit blase about the RL game but some of these tackles would result in manslaughter charges if performed on the High Street. Ouch!

Good attacking play all round, considering the state of the pitch.

Oldham have just put the game in the bag with a converted try to make it 10:22.
