donald
2 hours ago, The Voodooguru said: Sports fans in general are very fickle because of the emotions invested with being a fan. Like others have already said Muzza is a really nice bloke who everyone seems to like, but it is a results based occupation he is in. This season I thought we would be pushing the top two, but with a mixture of injuries, star players absconding taking work opportunities half way around the world and some very ordinary performances, we are closer to the bottom of the table than the top. Some of it like the injuries is out of the coaches hands, but some of the stuff I just cant get my head around. Some games this season we were out enthused by the opposition, and for me that just isn't acceptable. If the players put the effort in and get beat then you take it on the chin, but it's the coaches job to make sure the players on the park are prepared tactically, physically & mentally to win the game. The other stuff I don't agree with is playing players out of position when there is no need to. Henson at loose forward is just unfathomable. It takes away the threat of our best hooker and uses him to try and smash balls in. Our defensive line speed and goal line defense is something else we seem to be among the worst in the league at when it is a coachable fix. Why do we move two yard up then wait? It has to be a tactical decision that no successful team employs. Who knows what is around the corner with the head coach, but the rugby league press is usually pretty accurate. If Muzza stayed I wouldn't be classing him the same as a Dave Rotherham and throwing myself in the Derwent. But then again I wouldn't be upset if he were to leave as I don't think if we want to progress he is the man to take us forward. The Jambos at work all want to keep Jonty and say the likes of Burns, Bradley would leave town if he were to come back home. I don't think it's a secret it's his last season at the wreck, and I'd love it if he gives it a shot at Town but it has to be for at least 2 years. The crack is that he wants to spend more time with his family so it's pointless him coming for a season to tick a box. It will no doubt all come out soon. UTT Can't see why jordan burns would leave town if jonty became coach . Jordan hasn't played for haven since the covid season and as never been coached by jonty. Can't blame jonty if he does move he's went 2 seasons where players have struggled to get paid he's also went without pay but battled on . Fella needs a gold medal

He was a young lad who found his chances at haven limited so came to town on a short term deal, enjoyed a run of games so signed for this season and next. I can't see that changing regardless of who our coach is next season

We have barely been able to put the same team on the pitch two games running. All this comes down to one person trying to control anything and everything in the club and the rest of the board are that far up his ###### they can’t see daylight. I've thought long and hard about this post. Whether to and to not. I feel I must say something. This particular post implies that the person who posted feels they know enough or are informed enough to make a disrespectful comment about my, and our working relationship with our Director of Rugby and his influence on club decision and all general club matters from top to bottom. town blue
Speaks volumes about the present state of rugby league I.e. players and coaches vying to move on month's before the season finishes. What will happen if all this is true and nothing changes and Town reach the play off final against Keighley, where will the coach's loyalities ly? I think you should get your facts right before making comments like that, maybe haven't been to as many games as you, only managed 2 home games one away game this season, and only 1 Haven game, and not sure why you say mischievous. If everything is correct with Muzza leaving at the end of the season to go to Keithley, and Town did play Keithley in the playoffs, Muzza would want to go out on a high and would put 100% into the club and team to beat them. Well put, the off field side of the club is in very good hands, the job everyone involved is doing us outstanding. That post by Towniefan11 (10 posts in 6 years on this forum?) silverfox
Well said Graeme . The club would be in a hell of a state if it wasn't for Gary ,Yourself , and the rest of the board ,plus all the volunteers So instead of spending time on your keyboards ,Why dont you give some of your time being involved with the club . 1
