Yeah you're right. Someone like Mitchell Moses plays a perfect game, and didn't make any mistakes last week against NZ.

no one plays a perfect game - but its a law of averages in our game

see you later undertaker - in a while necrophile

Moses literally kicked the ball out on the full last week, allowing NZ to attack from inside Australia's half.

It has nothing to do with giving the other side opportunities, and everything about if the other team can actually do anything with that additional possession.

My advice is don't waste your time.

Against the Kiwis today, the Tongan's made 4 errors, conceded 5 penalties with no ruck infringements.

Against the same opposition, the Kangaroos made 11 errors, conceded 6 penalties and gave away 2 ruck infringements.

But you will get nothing from this discussion but cliché.

I was bored waiting for the kick off, that's my excuse 😉

Well only got to watch the game later delayed. I've said it before but I'll say it again though, nothing beats international RL when we get matches and atmospheres like that.

We now have 5 top class teams who can beat each other.

It’s really not. It’s just the whole “NRL = gods” lot can’t compute England’s excellence.

Having watched Tonga in both places it really doesn't compare, there is a long history in Rugby League of teams struggling in the other hemisphere, playing to different rules might have something to do with it too.

Tonga beat NZ

NZ beat Australia

Australia beat Samoa

Samoa beat England

England beat Tonga

Therefore it's clear that we're all world champions.

Why can't someone just be good at something without a hundred caveats in RL.

Tonga are better in front of a home crowd, is saying that a problem? Have you watched sport before?

Yes but to the point that us beating them 3-0 here is diminished in terms of the achievement based on their ability to beat NZ down under?

If you want to think that then go ahead.

There is. And annoyingly this never seems to apply to Australia 🤣

Not everyone by any means. Our Super League Champions have no problem teaching Penrith a lesson whether they play over here or over there.

It would be great if we could have an annual 5 nations every year outside of world cups.

Former Broncos captain Alex Glenn is set to come out of retirement to play for Cook Islands against Papua New Guinea in Port Moresby on Sunday.

Glenn is a member of Karmichael Hunt’s coaching staff, but Cook Islands applied for him to be added to their squad and he has been cleared to play after undergoing a series of tests last week.

Johnson wide; Isaako sprays a second effort.

Captain's Challenge for taking Johnson's legs.

I think Taumalolo is a bit fortunate there.

 He went into Johnson's legs.

I would have been fuming if a penalty was called for that. If you charge the ball down, you’ve charged it down. Anything after that which isn’t foul play via unsportsmanlike behavior should be disregarded.

30 minutes gone and Cooks lead 14-4

One positive for PNG is they couldn't get much worse. A try from a tap was chalked off because there were players offside at the penalty. Lost the ball to strips two sets in a row. Sylvester Namo in the bin for a high tackle. Forward passes and loose passes on final play in good try-scoring positions. Worst of all, the drinks break came and nobody brought out any drinks for PNG. They didn't know there would be a break? They forgot to get all the drinks?

As I type, Nene McDonald scores for Kumuls

PNG 10 - 14

After a try to Lachlan Lam, PNG lead 16-14 at HT

Cooks faded a bit in the last 10 minutes, despite PNG being 1 man short. The wind seems fairly strong - Cooks put 1 restart dead and PNG made barely 10m on a penalty kick and you could see it curling back after it went about 15m. This might help PNG in the second half.

I don't know what the rules are in the NRL, but JWH should be banned for awhile after his picking up an injured player, not sure how the ref didn't penalise him on the field in the first place.

I totally agree. Luke was hit heavily in the exposed rib area while being tacked by 2 other NZ players and Fisher-Harris should at least have been penalised for trying to lift him when he looked in some distress.

It is an offence in the NRL to do that.
