A view from the other side

You will win on Saturday, that's not a guess, that is a fact.

You've never seen a team more disillusioned than the current squad and for every Dewsbury Rams fan the season cannot come early enough,

The margin of victory depends on how much you click, you play anything like a team and you should achive 50 points.

Now the bad bit of news

By the looks of it your season will end next week and a failure to reach the top 6.

On reflection you don't deserve to reach the playoffs, lack luster performances, shock defeats, it won't do you any harm to not make the playoffs, you'll never achive anything under Ford, not good enough and not in the same vein as what Featherstone represents.

Also can someone please explain why you've signed Callum Turner??

Because many Rams fans are baffled with your choice to recruit him, no logic what so ever

It's like Liverpool signing Paul Mullins from Wrexham, Gareth Hock been signed by Penrith Panthers

I'll be attending the match and expect a battering, come 7.45pm will be a reality

Fev 58 Dewsbury 6 (and we'll be lucky to get 6🤔

Fev have always relied on home wins when the chips are down in the form book. There has been numerous so called shocks across the league this season. Toulouse and Wakefield apart I cannot remember us struggling so much at Post Office Road like we have this season. I wouldn't be gob smacked if Dewsbury beat us on our recent form. However I truly cannot see us going to York with both sides needing a result. But there again this is Fev we are talking about

Don't think Reynolds is playing tonight.

Doubtful for me if Lacans can play 80 min after such a long lay off.Maybe 30/40 min and hope her comes through it ok ready for York next week.

Dewsbury will still be up for it,no body go's out to lose .

No they won't. Pretty much the whole squad is leaving in 2 games time, barely got a squad to play, absolutely nothing to play for and zero prospect of anything other than a 40-50 point beating.

We'll probably turn in a decent first half and then you'll run away with it in the second. This is the poorest side we've had in the last 20 years.

Pride ?

It doesn't matter what the team is today. The team needs to show more enthusiasm, intensity and commitment than they have for the majority of the season. Last chance saloon for a lot of the players for me.

A game lacking in atmosphere. Some cracking pieces of play , we had to do what we had to and no more, but I lost count of the number of dropped balls in the game, we were well on top score wise so why force silly passes ?

Play like that next week and goodbye playoffs .

Well one things for certain, they'll be no comparison between York and Dewsbury, we'll have to up our game that's for sure.

I was impressed with how Dewsbury threw the ball about. Fev tried to score with every play in parts of the game. I think there was a bit more cohesion with Lacans and Aekins back in the side. York will be a different nut to crack. They must be the in form team of the league (Wakefield apart).

Good to see Aekins and Lacans back, looked much better going forward. Dewsbury never gave up , but still some poor errors with or without the ball from us.Will need to step up again for a huge game at York ! But let's get behind the team UTR.

Can't see you doing the business at York if honest, I take no pleasure in most probably Sheffield hammering us will keep you out of the top 6, I've banged on for seasons about your fall from grace, and now it's here, it's tinged with sadness, all the money blown in the pursuit of reaching the promised land as brought you absolutely zip.

Our fans bang on about ambition, Featherstone showed that ambition and have nothing to show for it.

Poor crowd tonight, Featherstone wasn't worldbeaters by a long way but still put 50 on our struggling team, more injuries tonight will make Sheffields task even easier unfortunately for Fev.

Season ends next week for your lads.... But miracles can happen😉

I enjoyed the win tonight, you have to this season!! Size of crowd was a big concern. It used to be a major hassle changing ends at half time! Unfortunately didn’t see anything tonight to suggest we’ll win at York….really hope I’m wrong.

As other have said we will have to play much better next week to beat York.Thought the forward display was workmanlike with no real stand out performance Connor Jones  Played to the whistle picking up that loose ball while others stopped playing a lesson for any youngsters watching.Connor Wynne must be one of the best finishesa in the Championship when he gets half a chance he usually takes it.Glad Lacans came through the game ok we are a lot sharper with him playing.Thought he had done his ankle again when he limped back into line but it was cramp after his long lay off.Ford put him on the wing in the later stages,i would have taken him off with 20 min to play and the game won to prevent any injury. We could do with Haven beating Batley today then they play Fax at home who have nothing to play for.So Barrow would need to beat Widnes to be sure of staying up.Betting next week 8/13 York 11/8 Fev 14/1 draw is how i would price the game.

It was a clear trip on Hookem that has left him on crutches. Not deliberate but a clear trip.

A very scratchy performance, but they got the job done against a spirited Dewsbury side. Well done to Connor Wynne, a deserved MOM, and also to Thomas Lachans who did well after such a long lay off. A very tough task next week at York to come, but a win isn't out of the question.

Thought Callum Turner had a really good game. Looked assured and not like the type of player portrayed in a lot of posts I've read. Apart from a couple of late 2nd half mistakes he performed well.

I have always said he is a good kicker and does the basics well. But he does lack pace  did you see him break the line like Reynolds does?.He is consistent but not up to requirements of a top 5 or 6 Championship side.
