Another great contest in what has to be the best play off series I've seen (so far). Shame there was a controversial try in there but I think the better side won (just). Wire paid for being too passive in the first half and couldn't quite claw it back.

More of the same tomorrow hopefully (with the home team winning again).

You have to feel for Warrington being denied a GF off a hugely controversial No Try decision, where the ball looked to be held-up and clamped by the defender.

Both teams went the 80, with only two points between them.

Absorbing stuff.

So glad for KR, who I think are the best-coached team in the comp. Bad taste in the mouth for Wire though.

Tough to take, really not sure how that’s given; but,

and like myself big butt;

fair play and good look to them

Unbelievable that 2 years ago they looked to be going backwards when Smith left and now they are in a grand final.

To be fair, they were still going forwards until Smith announced he was leaving. It was then that the wheels fell off.

I'm not convinced I agree with the narrative that best defence won. We made more chances, had a few disallowed tries, we scored two tries each.

They defended bravely at the end, but so did we in the first half when they dominated. Unfortunately, it was missed conversions that sees us out.

Not a bad assessment!

I think it’s that I thought we attacked better than they did, therefore them conceding less meant a better defence.

Think it’s a rough decision that went against us, maybe we should have converted better?

Congrats to Hull KR, only thing in it was that they kicked one goal and we missed ours. Can't fault the effort, we were by far the better side in the second half after getting outgunned in the first.

The Wire kicker will be rueing that shocking miss.

Yeah, that's a fair way of.looking at it. I thought they were very conservative, Lewis only present on tackle 5 really. They played the territory well.

Not dissimilar from Thewlis last week which Moore decided was the opposite.

I think it was similar, but in this instance the ball touched the ground before Evalds touched it - whereas last week Thewlis touched the ball before it hit the ground.

....and Burgess confirming that it wasn't a try.....

He didn't. He said he touched the ground but wasn't sure if it was on the line or not, which the VR and cameras pretty much confirmed.

Unfortunately, it wasn't even on Sky Sport Main Event - it was basically on Sky Sports 8.

Yeah, I was shocked when I turned it on and had to go down to the second page.

Well the comments of Joe Burgess say it all!

It really is time someone at the RFL got a grip of this " insufficient evidence to overrule"  nonsense.

It's making a mockery of our game.

Agreed.

Not entirely sure how to feel I think.

We played well, really good season given where expectations were.

Thought in a brilliant game we finished second and - unlike in past seasons - can’t quite explain why.

Possibly not explaining it very well! It may just be as simple as a missed kick.

10 minute eulogy to Lewis, who had an absolutely dreadful game.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

Nice piece with a bleary-eyed Lewis by Jenna and the adoring fans in the background.

Good on the fella. Not the best performance tonight but he gets to go to Old Trafford and light it up on the biggest stage.
