Young Oliver Pratt Motm today for trinity. Cracking take and offload to put trinity back into lead.

Trinity the better team making a ton of yardage but ball retention froM them today was atrocious. Most of time when getting into Yorks half just dropping ball or making an error.

York played well and completed lot more sets than trinity and that was the toughest test at home this season. York weren’t far off at all today. They are my favourite championship team other than trinity.

Great effort from York today against a mistake ridden Trin. My mate said he thought the best team lost and I can see his reasoning.

If York build on that they will be a real force in The Championship next season, well done to a great club.

Thought Trin just about deserved it but really couldn't have had any complaints if York had won. They really impressed me. Proper horrible nervous tension. I've missed that this season!!

Your mate was wrong. Trinity were the best team today but just continually gave York opportunities which luckily they couldn’t get past the defence or execute. York however weren’t far off and will be a big force next season.

Tough game made harder by Trinity's lack of composure. Bombed numerous opportunities in the first half so it made it more nervy than it should've been.

York should go well next year. They played like the team I expected before the season started.

Also thought York looked really well coached by Applegarth. Thompson and Hingano really impressed me. Lineham not so much 😂

Hingano was running things till he put a couple of poor passes near the end. Possibly fatigue, desperation or both? And Thompson seemed to have so much space and really difficult to tackle.

Max Jowitt about 3 points short (I think; stand to be corrected) of the world record points tally in a season. If he doesn't achieve it it probably means we've lost the final.

Delighted with the tough game - would be a mistake to go into the final soft.

Particularly delighted for Mash - he was never gonna turn down the opportunity to be a SL head coach, but he must have know he was been covered in beef dripping and thrown to the lions when he took the Wakey job.

On this showing, York will be properly competitive next year (I thought they would be this year), and next year's Championship will be even more competitive than this year.

Proper game that, I loved every minute of it!

Two fatigued mistakes in the back 3 in the last ten minutes. We might've had them were it not for that.

York were excellent today, and I can't wait for 2025 already!

Best of luck to Trin in the Super League, its genuinely brilliant to see your turnaround. I hope Jake Trueman gets man of the match on dayboo next week 😁

I was a bit surprised at the number of spillages and misdirected passes there were, seemed a fair few more than York–Featherstone a couple of weeks ago?

My wife must be wrong also. She has supported WT for 45 years and she said the best team lost.

That's right, she's wrong.

The best team won. It was a real contest though.

Unlike soccer, where you can dominate and win 1-0, or even lose, in RL, it's almost impossible the actual best team, to lose.

Feel free to come and tell her and put your best red white and blue glasses on. She will love that.

Trinity we're the best team, we fluffed a few scores in the first half, and we let York in with errors who, credit too them made us work to get the win. I don't think York could've played much better, Trinity can, and will certainly have to next week.

Wakefield will be in SL next season even if Toulouse beat them next week, which will be two out of three this season. They have been  average Championship winners this season even with a full time squad and at least treble the attendances of other clubs. If Toulouse win next week and find a backer with 3 million plus under the sofa Wakefield will still get the nod it's all done and dusted Wakey up London down.

Probably but if Toulouse were to win they would be 0.7 points ahead of Wakefield based on last year's ratings - 13.22 to 12.52 - (and not too far behind Huddersfield's 13.49) so would make things interesting as I've not seen it implied anywhere that Wakefield will approach 15.

HMMMM I had Matt Ellis down as a very canny business man. If true what you say he must be a massive gambler spending all that cash on the club and taking a huge risk that it could all be in vain.

Thought ratings were based on the last three years. That's what Beaumont at Leigh was moaning about.Because their rating when in the Championship would be lower. How do you know the teams marks they have not been submitted yet.

Win lose or draw next week, Wakefield will score above 14.0 IMG points and go up to Superleague

Everyone knows its a done deal. The stand clinched it plus attendances with the low admission prices. As i said Wakey up London down.

In what Universe have Trinity been "average" Championship winners???

Highest score for, lowest score against, top points scorer, most tries scored, most goals scored, lost only 1 game...

I haven't checked attendances - I'll leave that to you, but Wakey are about 5.5K .

Compared to all other Championship years - how the chuff are any of those metrics average!?
