About right but there's zero chance they will take a game to Sheffield.

I wonder why not?

Because there's only going to be one game at most in Yorkshire and they'll take that to the biggest ground, in the middle of rather than near to the heartlands, in the place that consistently delivers the best international attendances.

And if Elland Road isn't available they'll presumably look at Hull or Huddersfield.

Some comments from the club about consultants being brought in and plans drafted ready to go to the council, but nothing concreate as of yet. Nothing will happen until the club is back in the Premier League.

Does LUFC have wealthy owners?

The San Francisco 49ers investment group, a lot of celebs but some serious money too. Red Bull also own an otherwise unspecified minority percentage.

So you’d have to think it’s a matter of when and not if the redevelopment of elland rd going ahead.

Absolutely, if the RFL had some capital I'd be investing a percentage in it too to guarantee an England test a year for example and have some bricks and mortar.

They're majority-owned by 49ers Enterprises (which owns the San Francisco 49ers), with a minority stake held by Red Bull GmbH.

So they're very well backed financially, although it isn't a "Man City / Newcastle" situation by any stretch. These are investors who expect their returns at some point.

England RL starting posting highlights from old games against the Aussies to get the juices flowing...

So much to love in that video.

Great hit up to start.

Coaches in blazers and a Puma footy, how very British 😂

Great cover tackle by Brasher on Mather which wasn’t repeated when needed on Newlove.

A spiral bomb before they became a thing.

A great England kit.

Awesome scrum try from Farrell. Robinson would feel hard done by being called held up. Fair to see England score the try moments later.

Fascinating to see an “under strength” Kangaroos team still littered with the names the team had on the pitch.

I hope and pray the RFL understand that these are not games and should be made into events.

Give a ridicules build up, bring in celebs, talk about the rivalry, have former players talk about their dislike for the Kangeroo’s, run clips of former big hits, fights, the injustice of the “try that never was” and the refusal to come to the World Cup.

As English RL fans we don’t like the Aussies, we’ve had decades of arrogance, we should make a thing of it, our game is tribal, build a theme on that, it’s us vs them.

Bring out the brass bands, have a procession of former hero’s, put on music acts, make it as unapologetically full of British pomp as possible, create an atmosphere that’s baying for blood.

For the love of god can the RFL not see the bigger picture with such an opportunity, the build up should be starting January 1st.

Do we know when and where the women are playing their series? Still in Australia?

It really is a bit embarrassing. Everything should have been lined up by now.

And, once again, we find ourselves in that odd situation where our national (men's) team has zero fixtures in the calendar. Why do we make it look so difficult?

A cynic might suggest that they're waiting on seeing how the Las Vegas game goes before deciding where to hide it.

Hmmm. I think they're doing a pretty decent job of hiding the Vegas Test.

Well, we wouldn’t want the ladies to get any ideas above their station.

Really? I’ve seen plenty of social media stuff (particularly from the NRL)
