With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Looking forward to this one it could be a cracking game hopefully with a win for us it'll be interesting to see how we fair we have come, not heard anything about any injuries and I think i think it was Owen Farnworth put on report by THAT REFEREE, hopefully we've got a clean bill of health barring long term injuries.

You'd imagine York will be challenging to be in the top end (Top 4?) of the league so its a tough opener.  Will be a good gauge of where we are.

It’s not a disaster if we lose. York are fit, tough, disciplined, hardened Championship players who know what to do. If we push them close or win it will be a massive boost. It’s early days but I’m hoping that Drinkwater, Milner, Ashurst and the highly experienced boys can really hit their straps and push us over the line, literally. I don’t think our defence will be found wanting. A big and partisan crowd will really help us. I cannot wait!

Whose refereeing? Let's hope it's someone who is fair to both sides.

thats generally the intention they go out there with

watched them against hkr. after 25 minutes they where spent.

one of their own supporters said that on their own forum.

after half time after 10 minutes  they where never in the game.

nearly all their attacks are down their left hand side.

Let's hope we can pull in 3000 for this one. I'm bringing friends to the game, hope word gets out as I'm still slightly concerned with the lack of general marketing

Most teams in the modern game score far more down their left hand side than the right hand side. The top 5 try scorers amongst wings in SL last season (Marshall, Ashton, Charnley, Senior, and Handley) all played left wing rather than right wing.

York are favourites. They are a well established Championship side who are widely tipped for a top 4 finish. As a result, it will be extremely tough and a good measure for us. Hopefully, we will get a decent crowd and get off to a good start, although thoughts of that being 3000 are fanciful as they won't bring that many.

It'll be a cracking game, Jimmy. Great match-ups all over the pitch including the half back pairings. Most fans at York really rated Riley when he was on loan with us and he'll have matured a bit since then.

Dudson v Martin is gonna be worth the admission money alone. Our pack is no soft touch at all and dominated both Fev and Widnes amongst others in the latter half of last season.

Might all come down to a bit of magic (I hope), a bit of ill-discipline (hope not) or a refereeing call or two..

Mash will have done his homework and a couple of your defenders will be under real pressure...

Season tickets have been sold for the Rochdale Road End. Seems strange that it isn't open?

Looks like they will pick and choose which games it's open for.  Maybe the Barrow crowd was a factor?

Maybe. Sounds a little worrying. As was the crowd Vs Barrow.

A very strong squad with Mo, Koppy and Forster stepping down and being replaced by Phoenix, George and baxter. Will long be tempted to bring PLT back at fullback? Who will replace Mo - PLT, okeefe and Jack johnson look like the choices..York like to attack down the left so it will be busy down that channel.. and will Hurst come back in? Whatever the final configuration we look strong and it should be a great game.
