Is there a quite agreement, much as went on with the start of origin, anything goes as long as the player hit can get up.

Great game, any other ref but Thaler and that's a red. In the end we were lucky to get a penalty given Thaler claimed the connection was with the shoulder.

We're playing well, two frustrating as hell tries to concede. Terrific advert for the game.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

I've tried and failed to find the rules surrounding the use of the video ref. Maybe someone else can post a link

Not officially they can't although sometimes you'll come across TJs coming onto the field as if they've just thought have something when the only thing that could have happened is a word in the ear or a look at the screen.

 

That was a red card all day long. One of the truly shocking calls.  And given that we've seen some decent 12v13 games in the past few months I'm not buying the 'keep everyone on the field for a good game' as a reason.

Loving it. How good is Rugby League when the players want to play and the ref lets them?

Just would've thought it would be packed to the rafters tonight.

no worries, as ever league will be patient, slightly tweak the format, then build it up into an unmissable event. I hope so anyway

There's a ready made Union player running around in the NRL just raring to go, yet they choose a gifted player like Sam Burgess and have to spend time bringing him down to there level.

 

George Rose can't leave. He has a cult following around the NRL.
