SRD do badly on TV and the Wolves must be bubbling right now.

Cup winners often have a bad first match after the big day. Even when they haven't over-celebrated. Hard to keep that wave of euphoria going.

Bit of a big ask for Warrington with them changing it to a 5 day turnaround from the original 8 days.

Price and co not pleased but I prefer his response in adversity to that of St. Helens last week - “We’ll get our gloves on and punch ourselves out of a corner as we always do”.

Obvously we don’t ALWAYS manage to punch ourselves out of a corner (and we usually put ourselves in said corner ?) but it’s a hell of a lot better than “We’ll be writing a nasty letter about this”.

Possibly the difference in why we lifted the trophy after the 80 mins last Saturday?

I’m a bit disappointed not to see Riley Dean or Josh Thewlis play, but I can understand Price wants Hughes to tighten the halves’ defence.

I think Thewlis deserves a chance on the wing but Mamo also hasn’t done anything in the final to get dropped for.

Can’t see many points from us but hopefully Burrell will do something in attack.

‘Boring’ Bill Arthur doing commentary. Does that mean he’s not got the more glamorous Friday gig?

I don't mind his style; he allows the game to speak for itself. It doesn't need any artificial "geeing up" from the commentators.

"it is a well known fact that those people who most want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it."

You can see where Hastings is off to.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.
