John Minards has been a real quality addition to the club and we seem to be making some huge and significant strides with him on board.

If they get to that £400k figure via the share issue then let’s hope they can do something with the West Terrace. A revamped West Terrace would be a more inviting prospect for away fans and could well see the attendance figures improve which in turn would improve match day revenue It would also give us a genuine 4 sided stadium for the first time since the early 80s when the South and West Stands were demolished.

100k for the members shares. The rest comes on board from new investors.

100k from a small fan base is a stonking effort by any standards.

Just seen it in the flesh. It’s only 2/3 the length of the field. Maybe 12 rows of seats.

Someone is using Wakey’s fivers for bog roll if that’s costing £10m

That’s because it’s not finished, full length stand when finished.  Regarding the price that’s how much new stands cost with all the facilities, corporate, changing rooms, offices etc.  Think it’s 12-14m including new pitch, floodlights, North stand upper terrace and big screen.  Good facilities for the  club and City.

I'll check the score later but take it Wakey beat Featherstone then.

It was a friendly, score was irrelevant. But yes, Wakey won.

Floodlights are very impressive. North Stand update looks like it'll fetch it into the 21st century. New main stand was rather underwhelming given the hype surrounding it.

Floodlights very impressive. North stand looks like it will be quite good. What's the plan for the rest of the new stand side?

Read a lot about the pitch, maybe it needs time to mature. Didn't think it was a patch on Leigh's.

Fair play. Should have added a little smilie to my earlier comment.

It's like that because the last two sections have been left off to ease construction. The stand will be built from left to right from the point you were viewing and the end missing bit will be completed last

SEcondly the lower part has been left clear, you can only see the top half of the seat rows.

You'd think anyone with a brain or lacking an agenda could clearly work that ot, but Mr Shepherd seems to have neither.

Unsurprisingly the stand is not quite finished so as others have said there are still two sections to go in and the front section which will take the stand down pitch level.

No one is making out its the new Spurs stadium, its a very simple structure with decent earning potential, what it's replacing is the more important factor here.

Just ignore it. This new stand is great for Wakey, and what every club should do in your position. One step at a time, you'll usually get somewhere quicker than waiting for the big leap.

Apparently this site says I "won the day" here on 23rd Jan, 19th Jan, 9th Jan also 13th December, whatever any of that means. Anyway, 4 times in a few weeks? The forum must be going to the dogs - you people need to seriously up your game. Where's Dutoni when you need him?

If I remember correctly the finished stand is 97 metres long so it’s full length for all extents & purposes

That’s 15m short of measuring dead ball to dead ball. Depending on how it lines up to the pitch there may be some obstructed views
