Not sure which I look forward to more, my annual prostrate examination or the more regular conversation on here about the composition of Great Britain.

Do yourself a favour and go back to the doctor. He was supposed to check up your backside, not how well you can lie face down 😬

My mistake.

In my defence though, I was trying to type that flat-out and face down while Mrs Dunbar completed her annual examination!

Naiqama always looked a far better player for Saints and was far more dangerous and he's far from one of the top international centres.

You mean the Naiqama thats captain of Fiji !!

Naiquama was great in attack but defensively he was awful. He cost Saints so many try's by being out of position or racing in and taking nobody leaving his winger exposed.

Oh forgot he's left Saints now.

You say all this about Farnworth too for some bizarre reason.

Yes. Let’s have specialist centres with a bit more skill. We don’t want 17 second row style players across the park.

That would never work for a John Kear team. He needs at least four props.

The England centres for the future are a choice between Farnworth, King, Newman, Wardle and potential Young. Percival and potentially Gildart are challengers for the RLWC this year along with the first four listed in the previous sentence.

Worth noting I think that Gildart is actually a month younger than Toby King. The proof will be in his performances at Wests and the progress of the rest but I don't think he should be written off for 25 either.

That the same Naqaima who now plays at the Roosters...under a coach who demands defensive capability over attacking prowess? Why has Trent Robinson not picked up on what you did?

Centre is the hardest goal line position to defend in modern RL - if you stay out you've probably got a backrower hitting a flat ball into a half back. If you jam in then the ball out to the winger for a 1 on 1 is there. Either way, if Naiqama was doing this as regularly as you say, more often than not, it won't have been a poor defensive read - more likely he didn't trust one/both of the defenders either side of him.

It does take a really special kind of bias to completely contradict yourself and undermine your own argument in successive paragraphs.

On the one hand you are trying to argue that Naiqama being the captain of Fiji makes him one of the top international centres. Something I dispute but lets roll with it. Then on the next saying how bad he is defensively and at fault for so many Saints tries, in a lame attempt to make out Percival is better. Therefore how does that Naiqama him one of the top centres? You cant have this both ways.

Your obsession with Percival is really strange. If he was so good then you wouldn't feel the need to constantly put down other centres who he is compared to. You literally spent much of last season trying to pin the blame on Farnworth for any Brisbane try but don't see any of Percival's faults or mistakes. Odd behaviour indeed.

Shows you never actually watched many Saints games then if you think Naiquama was a good defensive centre. He was very good with ball in hand, but defensively weak, mostly down to his ability to read the game and know when to come in & when to stay out. More often than not he got it wrong.

And if you bothered to read any of my other posts you'd also see I've said I dont rate his replacement Hopoate, I'd rather have Naiquama and he defensive weakness over what Hopoate offers.

My obsession - ha ha ha - unlike yours who's ready to whip out the kleenex for anyone playing in the NRL.

To be fair (and I don’t usually back up ST), but he’s alluded to a defensive weakness Naiqama displayed at Saints that was well known. He was really good for us however and I don’t think Hopoatate will be as good.

Whilst also trying to make out he is one of the best international centres..... A major contradiction there.

For what its worth I never rated Naiqama previously and thought he'd be a poor signing for Saints. He certainly wasn't and was very good in every game I saw. It will be interesting to see how he goes back in the NRL.

I doubt we’ll see much of Naqaima playing in the centre’s for the Roosters unless they suffer another injury crisis,he’ll be on the wing.

Think I would go with Hardaker and Farnworth in the centres for the Lions at the moment. But I don't know much about SL. Newman? Gildart? Jake Connor?

If all have a great season we could be looking at something like Davies, Farnworth, Gildart and Johnstone as the three quarter line for England. Arguably this would be the fastest and most dangerous we have had for a while. Newman could really upset this and claim a spot if he is dominant for Leeds of course.
