Hi all,

we are Liverpool Lizards RLFC, an amateur RL team playing in the Mossley Hill area of Liverpool. We're in our second year of playing after setting up in 2022 and play in the North West Men's League. Like a lot of community clubs we're about to start pre-season and are recruiting new players for the coming year. All abilities welcome, we've got great coaches and have already post-training socials booked in for February. If you're in the merseyside area and interested feel free to drop us a message on our socials (Links below).

Our first session for the new year is on 23rd January 19:30 - 21:30pm at Wyncote Sports Ground in Liverpool. I've attached the other dates below for the new year.

Are your home games at Wyncote as well? I used to play football there, many years ago.

Watched a game at Wyncote last year

Still playing there or now got link with Mossley Hill are you playing on Sudley

Bit of feedback from last year was that the Twitter feed was a bit hit and miss.  Games were sometimes advertised but was irregular and not always followed up with results league tables etc.

Good luck this year.  Will wander down to watch a few more.

What do your kits cost you?

I can get kit cheaper than I've seen anywhere. Would love to help save you guys some money.

If it doesn't have a lizard emblazoned across the front and the away kit really scaly then you should peddle your wares somewhere else IMHO 😛

There hasn’t been a thread about RL in Liverpool with people saying it’s an area ripe for growth and chastising Saints for not expanding there in ages.

I was in a pub in Liverpool city centre on Saturday night and there was a bloke with a Wigan jacket on, as well as a bloke in a Warrington jacket. From this tiny sample I can conclusively conclude that the wools are taking over.

I was born to run a club like this. Number 1, I do not spook easily, and those who think I do, are wasting their time, with their surprise attacks.

were they their "big coats" because if they were then they aren't proper fans... its not been that cold all year its still small coat weather (if coat at all!)

Pretending to be a Wool is the next Scouse fashion craze, Widnes trackie tops and Saints jackets will replace North Face and Ket Wigs.

The definition of who's a wool is so much broader these days. It can mean literally anyone not from the city. I was on the LFC forum a few years ago and someone referred to the Malaysian fans attending a pre-season tour as wools.
